The moment will come when you go from the letter of the law to the Spirit of understanding. In other words you cannot have a philosophy on following God in scripture, you must follow him in spirit. "The time will come (the time is now) that they that worship the father shall worship him in spirit." What does scripture say " the letter of the law killeth, but the spirit giveth life."
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. - 2 Corinthians 3:6
When man interprets the word on their own to fit a preconceived idea or notion, the word becomes distorted and truth becomes watered down. When man decided to start writing new Bible's for whatever reason, some good and some not good, the chance of distortion was in place. The problem with man is we can only go so far in our interpretation and then speculation begins, which will be a total twisting of the scriptures and truth. Because man is not designed to be a god or get anything on their own. Man was created dependant, in the beginning there was total dependence on the creator God. Wasn't long before man separated himself from God and thought he was independent, false identity took over. Imaginations began, imagining how to run life and be their own person (which included the I'm a God too mentality), separated from God believing a lie told by the original lieing spirit, Lucifer.
When we believe the lie we will be damned, it's automatic just like condemnation. When Jesus came into the world he didn't have to condemn the world the world was condemned already. What was causing the condemnation of the world? Yes it was the nature, but it was because man now believed the lie.
