You are the light, we are the light Jesus said. What is the light? It is him that is in you, and how does that light so shine? We, the born again have in these earthen vessels a treasure and that treasure is the light. Christ in you is the light and believers shed the light in the world. Everything they do should be toward being light in a dark world. On the outside the world can look ok at times. It seems to rock along ok but underneath all of the world's exterior is a place so dark it can be unimaginable to the human mind. That is where we set our light.
Religions of the world are at a peak, every group has some kind of agenda for propagating their cause. The search for freedom can become a religion and lead away from the true freedom that is only found in Christ Life knowledge. Whatever your cause is it can be a distraction away from the deepest understanding in God which is Christ in you. Why is that so powerful to humanity? Because everything anyone is looking for is found in Christ. The peace, joy, hope, happiness, love, light, and the knowing. No longer in darkness but delivered to be light, salt, and back in the world to disperse the darkness. What did Paul say "my little children whom I travail with until Christ be formed in you." We are a message, you bring forth the word as we are. As you grow your responsibility will be to bring forth the word in you, the understanding that it is in you. Christ the word lives by the word.
The word of God is so powerful it transforms lives into liver's of the word, life givers to a lost and sick world. I'm all for freedom of speech, without it we could not preach the word, but that freedom is found in living the word, being a light by the word. You will never find what you are looking for by pushing your cause. It will be the opposite of what you are looking for, instead of freedom in mind you will be bound by a cause and freedom will elude you all the days of your life. Everyone is right today, no one can say huh may be I need to search the scriptures or sit and listen more. We kind of look down on some movements of God through the years because we don't understand them.
I'm thinking about a certain denomination for example. Back in the day you had to be able to preach two hours to become one of their ministers. What that did was to keep their ministers in the word of God. They had to have something to say, and they had to qualify by preaching two hours. So what the world needs is the word of life, they don't need my agenda and my ways they need the word of life coming out of the church because that is where the word of life is "in the church." In the people, it is not in a building, buildings hold people but the word of life is in the people. We are the light and it lights the path of the lost to come to the word of life. Praise God.
