Lockdowns and masks. Oh how I praise God that finally, this world is now well ordered, obedient, compliant, and caring. How wonderful it is that everyone (almost) is now doing what governments tell them. Staying locked up in their houses. What joy it is now to be able to stroll around the neighborhood (for fitness and essential stuff of course) and have no hordes of our of control undisciplined ill-mannered insolent rug rats racing around willy nilly. What a joy not to have to dodge the mayhem devised by these enemies to mankind. Knowing that they are all tucked up at home annoying only their irresponsible parents.
And when they lift the lockdown, how compliant and obedient we all are. We fist knock. elbow bump, but refuse any other bodily contact and keep a distance that is both respectable and decent. No witnessing hugs and cuddles in public. Decency at last!!! And then, when the government says we may take our masks off outside, it is so wonderful to see that the public have been so well taught that even in their cars alone, the mask stays on. And the vast majority still wears their mask outside. And it's great that indoors no-one is without their mask. So obedient. Such terrific government control. And of course there will come the time when government will graciously allow us to take our masks off even indoors, oh what generosity and caring, that the government so loves us to want us to be well and healthy. The government will actually go out of their way to tolerate no masked faces for a time. What wonderful generous leaders we have. How good it will be to have permission from government to go outdoors when we want, and to show our faces to others. To have permission to be free. How tolerant and generous. Until of course when that tolerance runs out. But hey, to have government permission to live, that's good isn't it. Isn't it?
To have permission to go to church. To have permission to breathe fresh air. To have permission to greet others, from 6 feet away. To have permission to refuse to be hugged. To have permission to open our business and receive customers. To have permission to earn a living. Oh how wonderful it is that we have a government how permits us to do so many things. Imagine what it would be like if they didn't give us permission to do any of those things...oh, wait...
