68) JOSEPH


- Pharaoh sends two of his officers to prison!


- Then both have a dream!


- And Joseph tells them the interpretation!


- Then he asks the first to remember him and speaks to Pharaoh about him!

- The second will die!


- But he forgets Joseph!


- Does it remind you of something?


- And Joseph stays in prison!


- He must be patient!


- It is a way for God to test human beings!


- And usually they aren’t patient!


- And it is easy for them to forget God!


- And it is easy to understand why they usually don't understand him!

69) JOSEPH


- After two years, Pharaoh has a dream!


- It is about seven fat cows and seven thin ones!


- And the seven thin ones eat the seven fat ones!


- Then Pharaoh has a second dream with seven full ears of grain and seven thin ones!


- And the seven thin ones swallow up the seven full ones!


- And the pharaoh becomes agitated and wants the interpretation of his dreams!


- But no one can interpret them!


- And his officer finally remembers Joseph and tells Pharaoh about him!


- So the pharaoh sends for Joseph who tells the interpretation of the dreams!


- And Joseph tells Pharaoh about seven years of abundance and seven years of famine!


- So Joseph tells Pharaoh to put a man in charge over the land of Egypt to collect all the food during the abundance and store it and safeguard it and save the people!


- So Pharaoh puts Joseph in charge!


- He will be second only after Pharaoh!


- Joseph was 30 years old!


- And Joseph had two sons Manasseh and Ephraim!


- And people would come from everywhere to buy food from Joseph!

70) JOSEPH


- Jacob sends ten of his sons except Benjamin to Egypt to get some food!


- He doesn’t want to lose him like Joseph!


- In Egypt they meet Joseph because he is the man in charge of selling grain!


- He recognizes them but they don’t!


- And he remembers his dreams about his brothers and he understands everything!


- He accuses them of being spies!


- So they tell him they were 12 brothers, one is no more and the youngest is with their father!


- Then to check what they say, he let them go but one of them must stay in Egypt and they must come back with their youngest brother!


- And they remember what they did to their brother Joseph and He hears them!


- Then he goes away and weeps and comes back!


- And he asks his servants to put the money back to his brothers’ bags!


- Later his brothers realize that their money was in their bags and they are afraid of being accused of theft!


- When they come back to Jacob they tell him everything!


- But he tells them he will never let Benjamin go!


- Thus Joseph understands that everything happened because of God’s will!


- Thus he was sent to Egypt to be able to save his own family!


- But he wants to test his brothers to see if they have changed!


- Of course, he had to survive in a foreign country!


- He got into trouble without having done anything wrong!


- But God was with him and Joseph became the second most important man in Egypt!


- Does it remind you of Daniel!


- And Joseph got a lot of experience!

71) JOSEPH


- Because of the famine, Jacob must send his sons to Egypt again to buy some food!


- But Judah tells his father they must go with Benjamin!


- Otherwise they will get into trouble!


- Judah offers his life as a guarantee for his safety!


- Jacob tells them to take double the money with them and also the money that was returned to them!


- When Joseph sees Benjamin, he invites all his brothers to a meal with him!


- But when Joseph’s brothers are told to go to Joseph’s house, they think it is because of the money that was returned in their bags and they are afraid of dying!


- But they are told not to be afraid!


- And they also tell about the meal!


- Then Joseph asks them more questions!


- When Joseph sees Benjamin again, he wants to cry so he goes to another room!


- Then he washes his eyes and eats with them!


- And Benjamin receives more food!


- And Joseph’s brothers are amazed!


- Because they don’t know what’s on!


- But Joseph knows!

72) JOSEPH


- He tells his man to put the food and the money in his brother’s bags!


- He also tells him to put his silver cup in Benjamin’s bag!


- His brothers leave in the morning!


- Then he asks his man to chase after his brothers and Joseph’s silver cup is found in Benjamin’s bag!


- Benjamin must become Joseph’s slave!


- The other brothers can leave!


- They say that their father is going to die if Benjamin doesn’t come back!


- Judah wants to stay instead of Benjamin as a guarantee for him!


- Thus Joseph puts his brothers to the test!

73) JOSEPH


- But Joseph can’t control himself any longer!


- He begins to weep loudly!


- And he tells his brothers the truth!


- And that what happened was according to God’s will!


- And he tells them to go back to their father and tell him about Joseph!


- But their father doesn’t believe them!


- Only when he sees all the gifts from Joseph!


- Then he wants to go to Egypt and see him before his death!

- All the family of Jacob goes to Egypt!


- There were a total of 70!


*- Joseph organized everything and presented his family to the pharaoh!

- Of course, he was used to organizing everything!


- He was in charge of Egypt thanks to God!


- He was the second most important character in Egypt!

75) Chapter 47


JOSEPH


- He introduces his family to Pharaoh!


- And Pharaoh lets them settle in the land of Goshen with their livestock!


- Joseph sells grain against money!


- When people don’t have any more money, they give their livestock!


- Then Joseph buys the land and the people of Egypt for Pharaoh in exchange for grain!


- So they become slaves of Pharaoh!


- Finally Jacob dies when he is 147!


- As we can see, Joseph does a great job for Pharaoh!


- He reveals a precious man to him!


- God made a good choice with him!

76) Chapter 48


JOSEPH


- Before dying, Jacob tells Joseph that Joseph’s two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh will share Jacob’s inheritance like his sons!


- Before dying, Jacob blesses Joseph’s sons!


- But Jacob keeps putting Ephraim the younger before Manasseh the firstborn!

- He does it against Joseph’s will!


- Interesting to see what is going to happen!

77) Chapter 49


JOSEPH


- Then Jacob blesses his sons!


- Reuben the firstborn will not excel because he has gone up to Jacob’s bed!


- Simeon and Levi are instruments of violence and slaughter weapons!


- Because of their anger they kill people!


- Their anger is cursed!


- Judah is a lion cub and the scepter will not depart from him until the coming of Shiloh!


- Thus we are told about the coming of Jesus!


- Zebulun will reside by the seashore!


- Issachar is a strong-boned donkey and will be submit to forced labor!


- Dan will judge his people!


- He will also be a serpent!


- Gad will fight back the marauder bands!


- Asher’s bread will be abundant and he will provide food for a king!


- Naphtali is a slender doe and speaks with elegance!


- God is with Joseph and Jacob gives him special blessings!


- Benjamin will keep on tearing like a wolf!


- Then Jacob asks to be buried in Canaan with his wife Sarah and Isaac and his wife Rebekah and Leah!


- Finally Jacob dies!


- Thus Jacob behaves as a prophet!


- Jacob’s first three sons are bad ones!


- They can’t control themselves!

78) Chapter 50


JOSEPH


- Joseph has his father embalmed!


- Then he asks Pharaoh for permission to go to Canaan to bury his father!


- So Jacob’s sons bury him in Canaan!


- After that, they all return to Egypt!


- But Joseph’s brothers are afraid of Joseph because of what they did to him when they were younger!


- So they tell Joseph that Jacob gave a command before his death to pardon the transgression of his brothers!


- But Joseph tells them not to be afraid!


- And he lived 110 years!


- Then Joseph is embalmed and put in a coffin in Egypt!

79) Exodus 16


1) ISRAEL MURMURS AGAINST MOSES AND AARON AND GOD


- People murmur about food!


- They would have preferred to die in Egypt!


- Then God provides quail and manna!


- But as usual they don’t follow God’s instructions, they disobey!


- And they eat manna for 40 years!

2) ISRAEL MURMURS AGAINST MOSES AND GOD


- They complain about the lack of water at Horeb!


- So God makes water come from a rock!


- The Israelites must also fight the Amalekites!


- And Moses tells Joshua to choose men and fight the amalekites!

3) ISRAEL MURMURS AGAINST MOSES AND GOD


- Moses stays 40 days and 40 nights on Mount Sinai!

- So he makes them a golden calf!

82) ISRAEL GETS INTO BIG TROUBLES


- As a consequence God tells Moses he wants to EXTERMINATE them and MAKE a great nation of Moses!


- But Moses calms God down !


- And Joshua hears the noise of the people because of their shouting and he tells Moses about a sound of battle in the camp!


- When Moses arrives at the camp , his anger begins to blaze and he burns the golden calf!


- Then Moses asks who is on God’s side!


- And all the Levites gather around him!

- And according to God’s will, Moses tells the Levites to kill the Israelites and they kill 3,000!


- Then Moses goes back to Mount Sinai and asks God to pardon Israel’s sin!


- If not, he wants God to wipe him out from the book he has written!


- But God tells him he will punish those who have sinned against him!


- Thus Moses has to put his good relationship to God in the balance to save the Israelites but they can’t escape punishment!


- What a CHARACTER!


- What a difference with the Israelites!

83) Exodus 33


- What a statement!


- What a condemnation!


- I will send you an angel ahead of you!


- But I will not go in the midst of you for you are an obstinate people, and I might exterminate you on the way!


- God knows the Israelites will look for troubles again and again!


- And you call that a chosen people!


- How is it possible to be so blind!


- So short-sighted!


- So limited!


- Moses vs the Israelites!


- God speaks to Moses face-to-face just as a man speaks to another man!


- RESPECT!


- If Moses leaves the tent of meeting to go to the camp of the Israelites, Joshua, his minister and attendant stays in the tent!


- Another deep relationship from the beginning!


- NO MAN CAN SEE GOD AND LIVE!


- So God lets Moses see his back but not his face!


- Apparently it is really difficult to understand this sentence!


- But it is so simple!


- But MAN’S TRADITION is just another GOLDEN CALF!

- God warns the Israelites what they should do or not if they don’t want to get into trouble!
