The riot on Capitol Hill were reprehensible. The intensely small minority of people who stormed capitol hill should be arrested. But compared to teh left wing riots that took place this summer? This was small potatoes! Billions of $ in buildings destroyed. Hundreds of millions of dollars of goods looted. Live killed and hospitalizied. Portions of towns taken over. Both were bad period.
But teh left does not even call what antifa and Black lives matter did as even a riot! Well at least nearly all the talking heads! Even VP Harris said of the arsonists and looters that they won't stop and shouldn't stop!
What is happening is the left is setting up to smear the right if they don't stand up and have Trump removed 11-12 days early. Then they will have their narrative to cudgel conservatives with and hope to see many more lose.
Already politicians on the left are calling for Trump to be tried for fomenting Insurrection and that all SEns. and REps. that supported an audit of teh election to be forced to resing or face removal by Congress.
This appears to be the next step in their now open push to take full control of the fed. Next will be increasing SCOTUS to 13 or 15.
Then statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C> For D.C. that may be onconstitutional as the land was given by Virginia and Maryland to establish a national capitol and not create a new state. But with a newly packed Scotus they will get it through and then the left can conceivably keep all the branches to themselves and make us teh United Soviet States of America!
