Genesis 1:27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. Image #6754 to shade; a phantom, i.e. illusion, resemblance; hence, a representative figure, espec. an idol:- image, van shew.Created #1254 absolutely to create; (qualified) to cut down (a wood), select, feed (as formative processes): - choose, create (creator), cut down, dispatch, do, make (fat). 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Formed #3335 ident. with 3334 (through the squeezing into shape); comp. 3331; to mould into a form; espec. as a potter; fig. to determine (i.e. form a resolution) earthen, fashion, form, frame, make (-r), potter, purpose.Isaiah 44:21 Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art My servant: I have formed thee; thou art My servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of Me.45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.45:18 For thus saith the LORD That created the heavens; God Himself That formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: "I am the LORD; and there is none else.God created mankind. God formed Adam. God forms light and creates darkness and evil (calamity, not sin). If the proper definition of create, taken from the Strong's above, is to "choose, feed and cut down" then to me it means that mankind must make a choice in this age. They/we will be fed His Word and those not making the correct choice will be....cut down. Not so with Adam. As he was formed, "moulded, squeezed into shape, for a purpose" then his genetic line leading to and from Jacob/Israel, "His servant," will not be forgotten.... Isaiah 45:25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.' We, as believers, whether we are genetically of Israel or not are partakers of the promise through adoption. Whether we were created or formed we are of the Light.
