Jesus professed that he had not seen such faith in all of Israel when this roman solider came to him.

Israel worshiped idols and traditions of man at that time. If you take time to read judges you will see they mingled with the other people and their gods and it lead to the israelites having a thorn in their sides to them and was a snare.

This roman solider in his country could worship any god, and hebrews, could worship Yahava there when it was premitted to do so, somehow this Roman solider just had faith and was lead there to Jesus and out of all the other people of Israel he professed he had not seen such faith in even Israel.

Why? Because he came into this world, and the world knew Him not, even his own brothers in Nazareth just looked at him as a common person. This Roman however, seen something more and had faith.

Are you wondering about that part dealing with the "sons of the kingdom will be thrown into outer darkness? Take a look here, later on, what the Gospel of Matthew states that He says to his chosen disciples.

Here is another finding also found later on in Matthew 22 verse 13.

Therefore it seems that the people whom were born of the line of Abraham all the nations that made up the 12 tribes, some of them believed just because they were born into the line they would receive the promise no matter what they had done, but that was a false notion all together.

The reason these were thrown out of the Kingdom was due to their lack of proper clothing, this was a judgement call; to all those whom were in the sect of Pharisees of Israel.

This was promised all the way back in Matthew 3.

Matthew 3:9-10 New King James Version (NKJV)and do not think to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father. ' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees.

The ax was at the root of the trees that were going to be chopped down (material Israel destroyed) (Spiritual heavenly Jerusalem would become set up once everything was at the right time, and the kingdom would be established which would never end) and being part of the bloodline of Abraham didn't mean anything, what did matter and how one was truly of the Abraham bloodline, was of faith, being spiritually reborn as an adopted child of the real Father, whom is in heaven, by and through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Those people in that day, did not care much for Christ, and John the baptized warned all the people of his territory - being the Jewish people, crowds (some gentiles in there?), and of course the religious section, Pharisees, of the wrath of God.
