In Matthew 24:7, Jesus warned that in these final days there will be an increase in the frequency and intensity of earthquakes in the world. In Luke 21:22, He spoke of "...great earthquakes...."

Just this past month, in the span of one week, the earth experienced three major earthquakes. A 7.3 magnitude quake shook parts of South America and the Caribbean, off Venezuela. Later, a 7.1 quake hit Peru.

Then, an 8.2 struck in the South Pacific near Fiji. That one fits the definition of "superquake."
: Scientists estimate that from the years 1500 to 2000, there were 30 earthquakes of 8.5 magnitude or greater. In this young century, we've already had six of these enormous quakes.

Think about that. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, in five hundred years the earth suffered 30 of these monster quakes. And in just the last 17 years (2001-2018), we've already had six!

Further, in the known history of the world, there have only been five earthquakes of magnitude 9 or greater. Two of those five have occurred in this young century.

And all five have occurred since 1948.Revelation 16:18, which says, "There was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth." (NASB)

When that earthquake finally hits this earth, the world will seem to sway like a drunkard. Now, that could refer to the ground being "shaken violently," as Isaiah described, in the region near the epicenter. But the 9.1 earthquake near Japan in 2011 literally knocked the earth off its axis by as many as 10 inches. This prophecy could also refer to something like that.

I think it's safe to say that none of us want to still be on this earth when that happens! That's why it's important to get ready NOW to leave this world when Jesus returns for His church. And that could happen at any moment!

But world-shaking earthquakes aren't the only reason to get ready for the Rapture. This old world is unstable in a lot of other ways, too! . We are guilty. And we need a pardon. We are sinners. And we need grace. We are not worthy of salvation. We deserve hell, not heaven.

But Jesus extended a pardon to each one of us before we asked for it and before we were indicted. He extended it from the cross before we were even born.

The problem for many folks is that accepting God's pardon means admitting their guilt.

But here's the Good News. If you will just swallow your pride and accept His free gift of pardon, He will write across your record in heaven those precious words, "Paid in full!"

Because that is precisely what Jesus did with His death on Calvary. He paid off your sin debt in full. He redeemed you, which means He "purchased you out of slavery." He set you free "by paying the price of a ransom!"

But only your "acceptance" of this pardon will gain you entrance to a life of eternal joy when our time on this earth is over.

Romans 1:16 says, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes." "Everyone" includes you.

God is offering salvation to you right now. All you have to do is acknowledge to God that you are a sinner and ask Him for His forgiveness.

The Bible says that He will freely forgive anyone who asks with genuine sincerity.

When you do that, He will grant you the pardon that Jesus bought for you with His death on Calvary's cross.

Don't wait. Do it now!

And you won't have to live through the earthquake to end all earthquakes!

In the OT there were men who were responsible to keep diligent watch for any approaching enemy's. They were called Watchmen, and they usually were in a sort of tower, and when they saw any threat they were to sound the Shofar to worn the people!
We will always need Watchmen, for non-believer's and believer's alike, one only need's to realize that there are some believer's that may be Luke warm, and need to be fired up!

Possibly...There are also earthquakes of another kind increasing.

Matthew 28:2
[2] And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

Acts 16:26
[26] And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

Luke 21:11
[11] And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Hebrews 12:27
[27] And this word , Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Are you simply quoting a Hal Lindsey blog or something like that?

Sadly, there are turmoils mentioned in the scriptures that have and will occur in the past and in the future.

Earthquakes have increased since the world leaders in our near past started their attempts to heal the land of Babylon, i.e. Iraq, and we are told in Jeremiah 51 that the earth would heat up because of this disregard for God's prophetic word concerning Babylon.

If the Earth heats up then naturally earthquakes will increase because of the increased strain place upon the earths crust by the expansion of the earth's core and the earth's mantle not being able to cope so that at points of discontinuity within the earth's crust, earthquakes will occur to reduce the thermal expansion stresses at those locations. The earth plasma in the earth's core can also melt a hole through the earth's mantle so that volcanos form and erupt. These locations are centered around areas where there are concentrations of discontinuity within the earth's crust.

Now if you insert the word turmoil and its variations, i.e. turmoils etc., where G:4758 is found embedded with the words of the Greek text, instead of the word earthquake, then more sense can be made of these verses, e.g. Like Rev 16:18 is talking about the turmoil of WW1, Matthew 8:24 where it is describing the great turmoil that arose in the sea, on the surface of the water when there are waves coming from every direction and not a great storm/tempest.

Wrong understanding can lead to wrong conclusions and the OP is one such example.

Do not get me wrong, Preaching the word of God is important, but when the rational behind that preaching is flawed, it is sadly seen for what it is and is off putting for many unbelievers.

Shalom

True. But consider as the heat(a different kind of heat...fire from above) increases on the earth so does the earthquakes in the Spiritual BECAUSE of the strain placed upon earth. She is as an oven as the Spirit of God whom is an consuming fire consumes sin and purifies. What will be left? Will it not be the manifestation of the Sons of God? Every work hid and covered to be uncovered. There is looking back on the temporal of what is today and gone tomorrow:

How do you bake bread...is it not in an oven? Psalm 21:8-10
[8] Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. [9] Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. [10] Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

Matthew 6:30
[30] Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Consider the fire called down from heaven by the deceiver: he is a liar and a murderer and exposes his brother as NAKED to glory in his brother’s shame. Revelation 13:13
[13] And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

The fire of God called down from heaven IS God’s wrath against wickedness yet also the trying of a man. That wicked one has no love of brother and is willing to expose his brother to the wrath of God so his brother is consumed and perishes. The great deception is calling down the fire from heaven upon one not clothed in Christ. It is cruelty and against God so why does God allow it? Is it not because it is the will of God for all to be tried by fire? For every work whether it be good or evil to be uncovered and brought into the light which is God?

Revelation 20:9-10
[9] And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. [10] And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are , and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Job 23:10
[10] But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. (Not the gold of man but of God).

Revelation 3:18
[18] I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Do we glory in our brother’s nakedness? Do you have two coats? Then give a coat to one without one. Luke 3:9-11
[9] And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. [10] And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? [11] He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.

Fire proof (a burning bush not consumed by the heat): Zechariah 3:2-4 And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? [3] Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. [4] And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

God Bless you for reaching out to those who may not have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.....you might get better responses by sharing about His Love for them instead of the doomsday prophesies....but be lead of the Holy Spirit and just keep being a servant for Him and spreading the Gospel!
