Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Jesus taught and preached the gospel of the kingdom. This gospel promised that the coming prophetic Davidic kingdom on earth was at hand. This is not the gospel Paul preaches. There is no mention in the gospel of the kingdom that Jesus died for our sins.

Daniel 7:14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Daniel 7:18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

Above, Daniel spoke of the coming kingdom, and that the saints would possess the kingdom for ever. In this passage the saints are the Israel of God.

Isaiah 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Isaiah 35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Healing would be associated with the Lord's coming, and for Israel to recognize their Messiah.

This is not the gospel Paul preaches.
That is not true. Here is what we actually see:

And when they had appointed him [Paul] a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening...Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him [Paul]. (Acts 28:23.31)

The Gospel of the Kingdom is comprehensive. Not only does it include salvation by grace through faith but it also includes the future Kingdom of God literally on this earth and in the universe. At the same time the outward manifestation of the Kingdom of God is Christendom [as shown in the parable of the Kingdom of Heaven (God)], which has a mixture of wheat and tares, Bible doctrine and false doctrine.

Addressing the OP only. yes, this wasa sign to them in Physical healing. but the healing of the souls are on going, scripture, Isaiah 53:4 "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

This is false as a simple bible search will prove. The purpose of the OP is therefore not in keeping with the truth. So this is a "wind of doctrine" alert.

There is but one gospel...which is of the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is according to grace and power. We enter in by faith.

A lack of understanding of the gospel leads people to divide the truth so as to make it into a lie.

You are correct, the kingdom of God is comprised of the earthly and heavenly kingdom, God reconciles heaven and earth.

Peter, and Jesus (during his earthly ministry) preached the gospel of the kingdom on earth to believing Israel. After Jesus's resurrection, Peter preached the gospel of the circumcision ( the gospel of the kingdom plus the receiving of the Holy Ghost, and assurance of the kingdom given by Jesus's resurrection) to Israel.

Paul preached the gospel of Grace and the heavenly kingdom to the body of Christ (Jew and Gentile) in this dispensation of grace. Paul did not preach the gospel of the kingdom, or the gospel of the circumcision.

The wheat and tares is the future separation of apostate Israel from the believing remnant.

I see this as that the gospel - the good news that the kingdom of God was at hand - near - was when Jesus came to Israel offering the kingdom. When the people under the nation's leadership rejected Jesus, rejected their King, and with Him the kingdom, then the Gospel went to the gentiles.

God had promised a kingdom to Israel, but not the gentiles, so the gospel to the gentiles was not to form an early kingdom, rather, to bring them into Christ.

I see the kingdom which was near became again as it were far away, but will again be near, at the end of the age, this time to actually come.

IMO.

Yes you are exactly right
John's baptism and Jesus's teachings were for Israel to recognize Jesus as their Messiah, the Son of God, to believe on him to life everlasting, and to prepare Israel to enter the great tribulation, the day of wrath, and to then enter the kingdom and reign and rule as kings and holy priests.

Israel rejected their King and Paul was saved, turned to the Gentiles, and revealed the mystery kept secret since the world began. Paul revealed the gospel of grace in our dispensation.

Israel will once again be revived and will enter the kingdom, reign for 1000yrs with Christ, then new heavens and earth, all will be gathered together in one in Christ.

imo not all who are born Israel are of Israel...suggests a less literal interp, but I am persuaded :)

That just means not all Israelites are Israelites. It doesn't mean believing Gentiles or the Church become Israelites.

Just like with Paul, when we preach or teach the Gospel of Grace, we always will be preaching and teaching about the Kingdom of God. That doesn't make the Gospel of Grace the same as the Gospel of the Kingdom. The OP is correct. They are different.

Christendom is not the Kingdom of God as preached by John the Baptist, and Jesus, and the disciples. It is the Kingdom of God in mystery form, due to the rejection of the Kingdom by Israel. (Matt. 13:11)
