Micha 6:8 and the Greatest Commandments

Here is Micha 6:8
. . . And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

And here is Jesus in Matthew 22
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’.
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Surely these must be equivalent, but how does Micah 6 translate into Matthew 22, or does Micha simply use different language for Love Your Neighbor?

Micah 6:8 doesn’t say it is the most important command. It’s says what we are to do. There are categories of commands; spiritual, moral, ceremonial, etc.

Mathew 28:37-40 is from the Sh’ma, the most important commandment, which itself is derived from the 1C. Naturally, we are to put God first in all things. This grounds us spiritually buts lacks moral specificity. That’s were Micah 6:8 comes in. DO JUSTICE, which is derived from Psalm 37: 28, God loves justice.
