Currently, Jerusalem on earth is in SIN and Rebellion against the LORD and will soon be Judged by God = Zechariah 14:1-2[Isa 24:23 KJV] 23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
The mount of Zion is on earth and so is Jerusalem
i am very tired from work todaytell me later what you thought about there being more than one gospel
I am not judging you I just dont understand why you refused to answer ......you assert there is only one gospel and I just wanted to know what is was.Someone who does not know there is but one Gospel is sad.

By the way I dont think I ever told you the gospel I believeGott ago for now
I believe you were saying Christ was ruling from Zion in heaven........my point was Zion is earthlyCurrently, Jerusalem on earth is in SIN and Rebellion against the LORD and will soon be Judged by God = Zechariah 14:1-2
You should read Romans 7.I am not judging you I just dont understand why you refused to answer ......you assert there is only one gospel and I just wanted to know what is was.
Here is the gospel I believe:
1 Corinthians 15 contains Paul's gospel:
[1Co 15:1, 3-4 KJV] 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; ... 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
We are all sinners who cannot save ourselves.
See Romans 3:23 Titus 3:5 Romans 5:6
[Rom 3:23 KJV] 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
[Tit 3:5 KJV] 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
[Rom 5:6 KJV] 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Christ died for our sins; He was our substitute; He paid the full penalty and debt for our sin by his blood sacrifice.
See 2 Corinthians 5:21 Romans 3:24 Romans 3:25 Romans 3:26
[2Co 5:21 KJV] 21 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
[Rom 3:24-26 KJV] 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
He was buried.
He rose again for our justification (to declare us righteous) and forgiveness of all our sin. He gives us His righteousness and eternal life.
See Romans 4:25 Ephesians 1:7 Romans 4:22 Romans 4:23 Romans 4:24 1 Corinthians 1:30
[Rom 4:22-25 KJV] 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
[Eph 1:7 KJV] 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
[1Co 1:30 KJV] 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
All we have to do is believe the gospel.
See Romans 4:5 1 Corinthians 1:21 Ephesians 1:13
[Rom 4:5 KJV] 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
[1Co 1:21 KJV] 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
[Eph 1:13 KJV] 13 In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Believing is being persuaded that something is true.
See Romans 4:20-22
[Rom 4:20-22 KJV] 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
The moment you believe you have eternal life.
Titus 1:1 Titus 1:2 Titus 3:7
[Tit 1:1-2 KJV] 1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; 2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
[Tit 3:7 KJV] 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Trust the gospel of your salvation. Place your faith in Jesus Christ, in his blood, in his death and his resurrection.
There are two Jerusalem's and therefore two Zion'sI believe you were saying Christ was ruling from Zion in heaven........my point was Zion is earthly

OP)
* Yes, indeed:-
'For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it,
but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.'
(Gal 1:12)
* See also:-
'And when we were all fallen to the earth,
I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue,
"Saul, Saul, why persecutest Thou Me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks."
And I said, "Who art thou, Lord?"
And He said, "I am Jesus Whom thou persecutest."
.. But rise, and stand upon thy feet:
.... for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose,
...... to make thee a minister and a witness
........ 1) both of these things which thou hast seen,
.......... 2) and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
Delivering thee from the people, (of Israel) and from the Gentiles,
unto whom now I send thee,
.. To open their eyes,
.... and to turn them from darkness to light,
...... and from the power of Satan unto God,
........ that they may receive forgiveness of sins,
.......... and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Me."
Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem,
and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles,
a) that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day,
witnessing both to small and great,
b) saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
c) That Christ should suffer, and that He should be the first that should rise from the dead,
d) and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.'
* So, here we have Paul's testimony, spoken before Agrippa at the end of the Acts period, in which he says that he had preached, 'none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come,' Which was the Mystery of Christ referred to in Romans 16. This, was the subject of the Old Testament Prophets, but shrouded in mystery, by means of type and shadow, until it's revelation to the New Testament Apostles and Prophets, including Paul himself, as told to us by Paul in Ephesians 3:4-5:-
'Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ
Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men,
as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;'
(Eph 3:4-5)
* It is also the subject of 'The gospel of God', which Paul was set apart to preach as told us in Romans 1:1-
'Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ,
called to be an apostle,
separated unto the gospel of God,
(Which He had promised afore by His prophets in the holy scriptures,)
Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord,
which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
And declared to be the Son of God with power,
according to the spirit of holiness,
by the resurrection from the dead:'
(Rom 1:1-4)
Praise God! Praise His Holy Name!
Thank you

[Luk 10:24 KJV] 24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen [them]; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard [them].'Now to Him that is of power to stablish you
1) according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ,
2) according to the revelation of the mystery, (The mystery of Christ)
...... which was kept secret since the world began,
........ But now is made manifest,
.......... and by the scriptures of the prophets,
3) according to the commandment of the everlasting God,
made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.'
(Rom 16:25-27)
Hello @Doug,
Praise God! Here Paul lays his gospel alongside 'the preaching of the Lord Jesus Christ', and the 'The Mystery of Christ', which had been revealed to him, and to all the Apostles and Prophets of the New Testament, and was the subject of the Old Testament Prophets, though hidden from their view, in type and shadow unto it's revelation. Kept secret since the world began. Yet this was not, 'The Mystery.' made known to Paul alone, which is the subject of the prison epistles. (i.e., Eph. Phil. Col. 2 Tim. Titus and Phile.), for that had been 'hid in God' (Eph. 3:9), until made known to him alone.
* Yes, The Lord Jesus Christ Who is sat down now at God's right hand, a position of great power and authority, will stablish each individual believer, who is trusting in Him for full salvation, on the basis of His all-sufficient sacrifice, and the promise of God of eternal life, through the power of the resurrection.
* I hope to address all your points from the OP, this is my third post. (#349. #350, #351)
Thank you

Paul was saying he preached Christ two ways'Now to Him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel,
and the preaching of Jesus Christ,
according to the revelation of the mystery,
which was kept secret since the world began,
But now is made manifest,
and by the scriptures of the prophets,
according to the commandment of the everlasting God,
made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.'
(Rom 16:25-27)
Hi @Doug (OP),
The words highlighted in the verse you have quoted, show that the mystery Paul is referring to here, is that which is 'the subject of, 'the scriptures of the prophets', therefore refers to, 'The Mystery of Christ', which though shrouded in mystery, was none the less on the page of Scripture in the OT, awaiting the revelation of God, which was made to all the Apostles and Prophets of the New Testament, including Paul (Eph. 3:4-5). So it is not correct to say that it was not to be found in the Scriptures (O.T.): It simply required divine revelation from above, to enlighten the eyes of those who received it.
* Paul tells us in his own words, what He preached, in his defence before Agrippa:-
'Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day,
witnessing both to small and great,
saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
That Christ should suffer, and that He should be the first that should rise from the dead,
and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.'
(Act 26:22)
Thank you

Chris
show me scriptures before Paul where they state how God could be just in forgiving Israel's sins....the blood of bulls and goats couldnt take away sins................[Heb 10:4 KJV] 4 For [it is] not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.'Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood,
to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past,
through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness:
that He might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.'
(Rom 3:25-26)
Hello again @Doug, (OP)
There is no mystery here, Doug. Why have you used the word, 'mystery,' in regard to salvation?
* God willing I shall be able to come back and address the remaining points of the OP at another time.
Thank you
