I met Jonathan many years ago when a friend brought him to my place. His Father was a Pastor of an on-fire church. He is a very intelligent person so when I asked him certain questions, I could discern that he kept changing the subject by throwing in some other line of thinking, asking questions and then talking about something else.
It took awhile for me to get our conversation back on track and then he would move off again. I thought that was very unusual. His Father died about a year or so after I met him and his family fell to pieces. The church was taken over by someone else and his mother fell into depression. She eventually left them and went overseas leaving this young man to support his younger brothers and sisters by working at McDonalds at night and then going to school in the daytime.
When his mother returned after a few years, he left home to become a sort of evangelist/O/T prophet and moved up north to live on the streets. He would go house to house talking to people about Jesus, He would talk to gang members and anyone he came across. He had no problems with doing that and had a boldness for God. He seemed to be neglecting himself though and his personal needs for the sake of the kingdom and salvation of souls.
Sometimes he would drop in at my house as he moved around the country and I would make him some food, give him a bed for the night and give him some money as he moved on the following day, hitching rides from place to place. Always in my prayers
He lived with no money and never accepted help or food unless the Lord said it was okay...After many years of this, he has come out of the wilderness, got a job and was living like a normal person. He has now lost that job because he kept crashing their company car and he is now back to square one. Not sure where he is living but he keeps in touch with me and I am praying for him daily...
