Greetings from Arkansas!
I’m new to the board, and an admin kindly asked me to introduce myself - so here goes. I’ve been happily married for over 25 years, and my wife and I have three grown children who are all out on their own. We live on a small homestead a good half-hour from the nearest big-box store, where I balance rural life with full-time remote work as a database, Windows, and software developer.
I’ve always loved learning, and over the past few years I’ve devoted much of my study to the Reformation - especially the history behind the Westminster Confession of Faith, the life and thought of John Calvin, and the differences in covenant theology between the Westminster and London Baptist Confessions.
My most recent deep dive has been into soteriology, that “big, scary” word that gets to the very heart of why humanity needs redemption, and how the death of Christ and our adoption into God’s family provides the remedy.
I look forward to learning and discussing with you all.
