A couple of days ago, after hearing fellow christians, family and friends, praising McCain and bashing the "evil Obama", I spoke to some of them and reminded them about all the many times I had heard them, or others, talk about us being in the last days and that maybe Jesus's return was near. In a semi joking way, I said, "Why not vote for Obama , then maybe all of Revelations would start to be fulfilled...this would bring about Christ's return quicker." A friend of mine commented, "Noooo, I like it here on earth, I love my life and the things in it...I'm not ready for my life, the world, to end yet....." I'm finding that many Christian friends show similar ties to this world and may be in danger of being "to attached" to the things of this world. McCain/Republican Party offer a sense of protection to most Christians values and morals...however, Christian voters should closely examine their underlying motives, that may possibly stem, from a love of worldly life here on earth. Loving this world or being to closely attached to the things of this life can be a deception that Satan uses quite often in the lives of many. I fear that some Christians may be losing sight of what place the world has in the life of the church. I believe God meant for us to have abundant and joyful lives here on earth but, let's never forget that we are only passing through, we are not part of this world, we are strangers. We can't take anything in this world with us. We can only take our love for the church and our love for Christ with us. Keep your eyes on Jesus and you will find peace in troubling times. Lastly, perfect love has no fear...no fear of the future, no fear of losing what you have in this world (freedom or possesions),..no fear of terrorists taking over this country,..no fear of death and no fear of who becomes the next president.I don't prefer Obama or McCain...they are both of this world. I'm not of this world but, only a stranger passing through it.John (Republican)

I just can't forget about McCain cheating on his wife. I also believe McCain is the biggest hypocrite in america right now. He is trying his best to look pretty under the republican umbrella. I love republican ideals...but no McCain in 2008!!!!

This line of thinking is one of the things that make many Evangelicals so dangerous for Christianity and America. Their false doctrine that the world is about to come to an end encourages them to trash the place so they will be whisked away in the rapture as the world crashes and burns. Why not vote for Obama? Because McCain is trying harder to start Armageddon.

Terrorists can only kill the body, and the chances of that are slim. McCain and Obama can kill America's soul.

Obama spent 20 years in a church that hates America and pledges its allegence to Africa.I do not believe his church is christian, because of its prejuiced and hatred. I would be afraid to vote for a president like that.Just because we are christians we are not wimps (well some are)We have a right to be involved in politics. Some christians dont read the bible and some people dont read newspapers on stay in touch. The problem with news and press they are so for obama he should be ahead by 30 points. The fact is he is even with mcCain. There is a lot of BS out there be sure to sift through it.

Ironically, Obama's media-generated lead is partly the fault of McCain. The McCain-Feingold campaign finance law, one of McCain's many acts of treason against the American people, makes it far more difficult for private individuals outside of the media to use their money for political speech. McCain has actively sought to censor conservatives who might have balanced out the liberal media.McCain deserves to lose.
