(Christina;62977)
God promised the Lord would return before the generation that Saw Israel bloom again for the first time in 2000 years. That Gen started in 1948. So say what you will, lie to yourself, deny scripture whatever gets you through the day.
Mathew 24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down." As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen?"... I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.Jesus didn't say the generation that saw Israel bloom again. He said the generation to which he was standing and speaking to. And, sure enough within a generation the Temple was destroyed and everything he said would happen in that generation did.Israel officially became a state in 1948, and and biblical generation is generally regarded as 40 years, your less, so in 1988, the people who thought that the political state of Israel is the true Israel, all the people who hold your view, thought Jesus was about to return. Nothing happened. Now, it has been sixty years, and still nothing. There's no Temple there to be destroyed, now. It was destroyed in 70AD. Jesus is our Temple. The Temple of the old covenent can never be again.
However God has spoken it will be so and our petty little argument denials protests doesnt mean a thing.
Indeed.
