Luke 19:13 (KJV)
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

“Occupy till I come”

The NASB translates it as;

“Do business with this until I come back”

~~~~~~~~~~~~
For all have received the same from Him... The same is the new birth...It is this new birth; the Divine nature we are to be doing business with...
That we might actively be living out from Him each and every day with a hope of increase of the tomorrow...
That our fruit; the Divine nature we received as the new birth would be in a constant growing state... So that the Spirit that He has caused to dwell in us would be the leader in life...That our yieldedness to this new life would be with a heart that would be for a desire for the more....
“Do business with this till I come”
This new birth we received at our regeneration is that that we are to be doing business with... For after the regeneration nothing matters but the new creation...
Well than, one might ask, what does this look like in real life, in real time...
It means, that we are to live the all of life and that the all of life, is met with an; I have died and my life is hid with Christ in God...
When I go to work; I have died and my life is hid with Christ in God...When I go to play; I have died and my life is hid with Christ in God...
I have died, is the resting and the getting rid of the I want this, and the I want that... Than seeking what isrighteousness in the situation, is being a do’er of the word of God in the situation...
That the new birth would take precedence over all things... That the faith one would have towards God would be the all of ones life...That that mustard seed of faith one has towards God would grow into a tree beyond all measure... That the feeble hope and trust in the one Who died to set us free from the bondage of our own sinfulness would grow into such a confidence, for that faith has been exercised and has seen the fruit of that faith played out in real time, in real life....
That the fruit of this faith would be known and tasted by the one, as the one, occupies till He comes...
Be blessed in the doing business with that which we have received from Him...
Both the Parable of the Minas and the Talents is about the time when Satan is captured, after he is thrown out of heaven down to the earth, to be imprisoned in the Bottomless Pit for a very long time, i.e. 1,000 years, to await the time of his punishment and that during the time of the Everlasting Kingdom will be set up, and while Satan is locked up in the Bottomless pit, he will empower/give the means to his good and faithful servants to distract and hinder the people of the earth from becoming a part of God's Everlasting Kingdom.
Both of these parables are about the time of the establishment of the Kingdom of God, and Jesus tells us that even during the time of the Everlasting Kingdom during the last Age, that Satan will have his good and faithful servants working against its establishment within the hearts of all of the people.
In the Parable of the Minas, we are told that the people of Israel, after Satan goes away for a time that they no longer want him to "lord it" over them, i.e. to be their king. This timing is interesting in that Jesus is giving the time for when Israel will seek God's redemption through their repentance for all of their sins. In the Parable of the Minas, when Satan returns Jesus tells us that Satan will demand that the people of Israel be brought to him to be killed in front of him just as we are told that Satan will initially go after Israel after he is released from the bottomless pit in Revelation 12 and when he tires of that, he will go after the "Christians" of the world to subdue them as well.
The thrust of your OP is based on a heart for God, but the use of the Parable of the Minas to justify argument is based on what Satan intends to do and not on Christ's commission to his Disciples to go out into all of the earth to make disciples of all men teaching them about the things of God.
Satan has successfully turn this parable about him to being a Parable about Christ, where Christ is not wanted to be King over the peoples of the earth, and that when Christ returns to the earth that He will kill all of the Saints of God. Satan has perverted the words of Christ for his own ends.
Read the parable of the Minas to see if what I am claiming is true.
Shalom
I've heard of something called Dominionism. God has never talked to me about it though I seem to recall I didn't like it. When Christ sets up His millennial Kingdom, yes. But I don't think so until then. Shalom.
The town next to me had a church I'd seen on T.V. that called themselves dominionists. I saw the glitter, hype, and self-promotion that I despise in the church. And the greed. I just now looked up the word dominionism. I found that there are people who want the country run by Christians. Which could be good. If they're the majority, then fine.
After what's happening now the last thing we need is some religious dictator cramming his slant on scripture down one's throat. But if it was democratic, it could be really good. But I believe that if Christians do take power, unbelievers need to be respected. I'm not speaking of the ilk that is bent on burning down America, including Satanists and pedophiles, but those who live by moral standards and are willing to cohabitate peacefully with Christians. Mutual respect and God-given free will.
I just looked up this dominionism and the whole first page of results were doing their best to scare non-Christians by telling them that Christians basically want a religious dictatorship. This would be fine if you want a real civil war. And alienate the harvest field.
To me, freedom is this: You may disagree with me but I'll defend your right to disagree with me. There is nothing more American than that.
I also read about NAR. the New Apostolic Reformation. I know little about it besides a man named C. Peter Wagner started it. I know this name because my Vineyard pastor had him as a professor while at Fuller Theological Seminary. At the time Wagner was big into church growth theory. My pastor was too. I thought it took the place of the Holy Spirit. A few years later Wagner agreed and dumped it. (nothing to do with me)
As far as apostles and the 5-fold go, I'm all for it. Every believer needs to have a proper foundation laid in them through the apostles and prophets. As I had a bitter root from the womb, God had to take me down to my bad foundation, explain things to me through His Holy Spirit and His servants and do what I needed to do to clear the wall rubble out so a new foundation could be laid. Which He did.
It is interesting to see what God uses in a life to conform one to Himself...
Be blessed as He continues to prefect that which concerns us..
In Christ, Not me
@Not me "Occupy till I come" is a good maxim in Christian service. :)
