Netflix has a new TV series, The Empress, a love story between a duchess and the emperor of 1840's Austria.
The props are in complete splendor and awe. But the manner of portrayal of the royal family is still communistic. The 'real' history of the royal families is NOT about splendor and fettishness, as many of them were very frugal, especially the Russian royal families prior to the Bolshevik revolutionaries murdered the last Russian royal family in 1917 Russia. Nor did Marie Antoinette actually say, "let them eat cake" during the French revolution, as during rebellions false slanders were often made up by revolutionaries.

When they have a spastic rant about the UK I just say that I am proud of the fact what the UK did here for Australia and sure one can argue on issues, but a lot of issues are founded on lies or not in depth understanding of the real History when one understands the times and conditions of such regarding coming from that era.
