God saves the whole person forever, I believe. For 66 years since I was 16, God has preserved my faith and enabled me to persevere in it. See book What God Has Done: My True, Dramatic God-Biography.)

He has been with me to survive a dysfunctional family when I grew up, the death of our second boy when he was 4 1/2 years old, my seven years of major depression, my 36 years of four kinds of physical pain until now, and my dear wife's sudden death. He first saved me in my thinking by convincing me that Jesus' resurrection is a historical event, my will after my years of rebellion against his call to be a pastor and my emotions after 7 years of depression.

He continues to work on all three aspects of my personality. (See book at Amazon.)

I believe he only saves our spirit from eternal damnation.

Our flesh body goes back into the ground.

We will have glorified spirit bodies when our body ceases to exist.
