My grand dad, John Lee Winkler, holding me a month or so after my birth on August 6th, 1944. Does that date in 1945 bring up any historical significance?
The day the Allies hit the beach at Normandy!

John was an old time pioneer commercial fisherman and fiddle player. Aren't people's lives so very interesting?

Here are the antennas for my microwave radio station located on the Danang AFB in Viet Nam 1964-1965. The antennas are made of a heavy canvas lined with silver. They are kept inflated all of the time by air pump. VN Danag 29-37 Aug64p, 1-10 Oct 64z0009.jpg

Sorry my pictures are a bit unclean. They were mostly on color slides which I scanned into my computer several years ago. I suppose the slides had dust on them from being in storage for so many years. I had literally thousands of them and cleaning them was out of the question... for me.
