Thanks but I wasn't really tall. I was a lot thinner than I am today. Could it be because my wife is a good cook or because I like to eat too much or a combination of the two. Hmmm?

Absolutely! When we first married in 1972 my wife used me as a guinea pig as she learned to cook. I always had a cast iron stomach so it worked well. Once she made tortillas from scratch. They tasted and responded like rubber but I ate them anyway.
We eat out a lot at our house. As Lorena gets older, I really need to start cooking more. My husband will eat hamburger helper. He doesn't seem to like much of anything else I make.
And there you have in post #808 my two wives, Salt on the left and Pepper on the right [taken about 40 years ago]. Actually my wife Kathy is on the left with her best friend Lila on the right. To this day it is a standing joke with us. When our Sister Lila calls us in Oklahoma from California which she still does about once a year and I answer the phone she still says to me, "This is your other wife". She has always been a wonderful Christian woman and the greatest soul winner we ever knew. Her baby brother and his wife won us to the Lord all of those many years ago. When we attended the same church as she did about 3/4 of the congregation of over 300 were won to God by our Sister Lila. It was a very mixed congregation with three groups white, African American and Hispanic members being approximately equal numbers. Those were very good times.

Because you have and maybe still are..."out and about" in God's Country going places and seeing things...
So it must be a "spiritual break" that you are taking?

Not from the site.
Just from some discussions.
There's not much uplifting, mostly the opposite right now.
Starting to bother me.
Don't need some of this nastiness in my life by people I don't know and live 1000's of miles away.
I'm outside playing with my tractor. Gravelling our driveway.
And we are selling our house. Talking to an agent.
One of our twins hums and sings that song a lot.... she is 8 years old.
I guess that is the only songs they sing since we do not do radio or TV.....

Hope you sell at the price that you want. Here in Calgary is not a good time to sell at all.
Where will you move to...out of the area or somewhere close by?
You have a lovely house...looking forward to Photo's of the new dwelling! :)
Glad you have only opted out of some of the Boards....I agree. Today I just ran my "NEW POSTS" list continually opened them spun to the last post...and then back to the top for the next one...that way they get deleted from the list..and only the better threads remain.
I like your "Word For The Day" thread ...and I liked Philips post in quoting a blessing he got through the words of another brother .
I think we know which people are of "like mind" on this Site...and which do not know or see The Father Heart Of God.
The more I get to know people, I have come to see that many know or recognize Him as God, ( Judge) but not many see the Father heart. ( Love)
Which to me, just leaves them with 'religion and knowledge ' but a very fragile relationship.

Yes since 1976 my wife and I have been. Sister Lila who is a few years older than me grew up as a Pentecostal. She is nearly 80 now.
Patience and time. Don't give up on each other even in the worst of times. Sometime I will post my testimony about how God save our marriage [46 years now] when He saved us.We eat out a lot at our house. As Lorena gets older, I really need to start cooking more. Oh I am not worried. He is just a stinker that is all. 3 years married. I try not to put too much expectations on him. A compliment once in awhile would be nice though.
Well you hold onto the 3 years and keep adding onto them. We were married four when we were on the verge of divorce in spite of two toddlers. God got hold of us.Oh I am not worried.
