Age has never really bothered me, at least not since I really began to take God seriously. By the time I really was, my body was already noticeably on the decline. Maybe this is a good thing if we are able to see it and take it as part of what God wants us to receive in order to get closer to Him.Bah, age never bothered me, lol...the older we get, the closer to God ♥
One of them looks a bit like Gene Autry. Hopefully everyone here knows who he was.Early 1900's - My kind of guys close to the spot where we are living right now.

Thanks for that. Growing up I was a big Gene Autry and Roy Rogers fan. I did not like it when someone would try to stir the pot as to which one of the two should be the King of the Cowboys. I did not like to have to make such choices.

Quite a long ways from Gene Autry, Oklahoma! And no I don't live there. My home is up toward the Kansas line a ways. This photo was at Fort St. James, northern BC Canada
The Fort is still there. All original buildings.
I have tons of the old black and white western movies on DVDs. I liked some of the old cowboy songs in those as well as many by the names you mentioned. I always loved the music of Johnny Cash. I have piano music for several of them, but my old hands don't work so well anymore. I should practice more... but there are so many things to do and I move, it seems, in these slow motion these days.Lol...I do enjoy Western movies...and C/W music. Mostly stuff from Merle Haggard, Ricky Skaggs, Waylen Jennings, and Willie of course! Emmy Lou Harris <---what an angelic voice she has! George Jones, and a few others as well...have not listened to my old CD's in a long time...maybe I will check out some of them tonight when I give my self a Youtube concert :)

I really only watch the old grade B westerns now when I am tired of reading or focusing on the Internet. I do put them on when nothing worth while is on the satellite channels, which is often these days. When the original "Stage Coach" with John Wayne comes on I try to watch it. With over 1000 movies on DVD and over half of them westerns I still don't have that one. The two remakes of it I've seen are OK but I still prefer the original.Oh gosh, how did I not mention Johnny Cash?!!! lol...yes indeed-love him! What are your favorite western movies?
