Do you think that preaching Acts 2:38 to the unsaved is abrupt and not considered an act of charity?
Why do you even ask? You apparently believe you have all of the right answers.

Good to see you again.
Just wondering, what do you tell folks if asked, "how can i be saved?"
please give detail as to what your reply to them is.
Thanks!

Simply believe Christ is the Son of Jehovah and that he died for our sins, and keep the commandments and you’ll be saved.

No I don't, but I observe that as I insist on Acts 2:38 as the standard message to sinners, you threw a "charity" blanket on it.

Just what it looked like to me.

The answer, I believe, needs always to be God's answer for that person in that moment... Are we listening to and hearing His voice?

Who are His sheep?

Who are the ones who do not hear the voice of strangers?

How does a person insure, that he speaks only what God wants him to say?

Sometimes Acts 2:38 may be the place to start, but is that for us to decide or should we always be led by the Holy Ghost?

How does one get in the Spirit and stay there all of the time?

Who puts the right words in our mouths at the right time... but God alone?

Who prays without ceasing?

Who rejoices in the Lord always?

Who strives to do it all in accord with God's perfect will?

Who succeeds in always doing it all right according to God?

How important is charity?

"And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." I Cor 13:13

Why is charity the greatest?

I agree.
The salvation message is not a buffet table, however.
To the last person you have spoken to for his salvation, what did you say to him (if i may ask?)

Charity does not trump Acts 2:38.

We cannot love our way into the remission of our sins.

In eternity, I will rely on the name of Jesus spoken over me via my baptism for my clean conscience before God.

Charity comes after initial salvation via Acts 2:38.

I don't remember all the words, but... it was started by someone asking me questions about the difficult times in we now live and how we were handling handle it.

Given that opening I gave some my own testimony and explained that in God alone is there any real lasting help available.

Perhaps more face-to-face conversations will take place before I run out of time, but that is up to God, isn't it? I don't open those doors. I simply have to walk through them.

I believe, that without charity, superficial obedience to Acts 2:38 is nothing at all.

You believe I am wrong... and apparently want to make some point. You keep forgetting I guess that only God gives increases.

I think this conversation is accomplishing nothing good and needs to end.
Have a blessed day!

Did Peter preach what you said in Acts 2, to the 3000 murderers of Jesus?
