Some key points to remember about sin for a believer's walk of life

1. We continue to sin as a believer and not as an unbeliever. And our sins diminish in type and quantity over time.

I agree with this: you are close to a holy conviction.

2. We will never be perfect and thus never cease to sin whilst in the flesh.

Actually there are things we can perfect, but we can be vexed with irrationality as a result.
