I asked before if any one knew of gay people being delivered and I do not think any one said yes but I stopped looking at the other thread because it hurts my spirit. I still want to know? Abstinence is not deliverance. It hurts me deeply and I would love to have total understanding. Seems to me that most people who love to talk on this subject do not have the love they should have. I have not met a lot of gay people but the ones I have met, my heart has gone out to them.
When I was young a girlfriend of mine had a boyfriend who was gay. Every one was saying he is gay-come on. I like to give the benefit of doubt so I asked him and he said no I am not. After he dumped her for a guy I was upset! He said, "out of all our friends I really thought you would be the one most likely to be understanding and not judge me." I told him I was not judging because he was gay, I was upset because he lied. He was engaged to marry her. He told me that he was trying the best he could to not be gay! But he was gay! I just can not stop hurting for him and others like him. If he could have made himself not gay he would have. I'm sick of people judging if they can not provide deliverance! Say something real ,Love, or keep your mouth shut, is how I feel! If Jesus does not deliver these people then ----- WHAT? It is very clear they can not deliver themselves and if you can not deliver them with the power of God then I say put up or shut up! I'm not talking to anyone on this thread here. Just saw stuff written that is so hurtful and so unhelpful that it grieves me deeply. I just wish I knew the truth of the matter because I care! It is clear to me that praying it away does not work now and never did. I would like to hear from just one formerly gay person who is no longer gay. If I do not then I can not stand in judgement and I do not think any one else should either. And I am not gay myself but just trying to understand in case anyone gets the wrong idea. It is so easy to judge.
We can all too easily become like a hammer beating on a seed as it is trying to take root and grow to something new.
Our job is to help that seed get planted and to water it trusting God will make it grow if it is to be.
Gently, so that we do not destroy the seed before it has a chance.
Isaiah 3:15 "What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts."
Matthew 12:20 "A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory."

Gay/lesbian thinking is a double edged sword. They think it of themselves and genetically lead themselves into it. We are all genetically disturbed...and repairing our genetic faults is the same path as gays/lesbians need to follow too. By following the accurate teaching of Jesus Christ...quietly and calmly, we are reaching out for righteousness and reaching out for our various needs alters our genetic coding. This is why we must lift up our own stake daily and follow Jesus. We are repairing the damage that sins induce...we are working within a science that is so advanced some may never understand it but all those who follow Jesus Christ, accurately, can benefit from it.
I would dispute this. Jesus Christ is leading us to a state where we can soothe and calm our own individual genetic structure, in the form of our spirit. Modern thinking demands that we are led by shouting, screaming and worshipping celebrities constantly and over and above the devotion we should be offering Almighty God...this must be the greatest waste of the product that Jesus wants us to harness and repair our sins by.This influences our genetics and the wages of it is death.
Jesus Christ was leading us down a path that would save us. He called it...The way, the truth and the life. Rghteousness is its key and there is no room for personal interpretation.
Following Jesus is following an advanced science far superior to modern science and every sinner who wants salvation can take advantage of it. You know when it is working within you because you quickly realise that there are many people who are driving others down the opposing route which leaves them spiritually drained and wide open to genetic disturbances.
Of course, if believing in Jesus Christ's accurate teaching isn't your thing, then you wont be saved.
Why are so many Christians so obsessed by one particular sin? It's not the only sin. It's not the only sin that will separate a person from God. It's not the only temptation Satan uses to confuse the masses...And yet the focus is out of proportion.
"Fixation" on homosexuality compared to other sins.
As soon as rape, murder, theft, child molestation, assault, and even infidelity are being pushed as mainstream and acceptable to the point where people are seriously working to introduce their benefits into the curriculum of the school system and people are called horrible names just for opposing them (even though God says it is a sin).....
....THEN come talk to be about fixation.
Illegal immigration is a crime, yet that those that oppose it are being attacked and criticized.
Infidelity is not a crime, yet you don't have lobbyists pushing for including that as an "acceptable" lifestyle in schools.
The fact of the matter is, homosexuals have put their agenda into the mainstream.
Christians who are asked as to why they won't sanction or tolerate it are attacked when they give the reason.
This lifestyle is a sin in God's eyes yet people want it taught as something that should be understood and embraced as early as first grade.
Sorry, homosexuality being in the spotlight is there because those that support it put it there.
God does not call Christians to be silent. Quite the opposite.
But when the world says that merely disagreeing that homosexuality is wonderful, acceptable, and beautiful makes you a bigot and a hater, well......
