I wanted to become a prayer warrior so I had to face my fear of God not being there or not wanting to connect with me.

Hebrews 11:6 says

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

I think a lot of times we go to pray and the silence mocks us, we may fall asleep, or were filled with distractions and doubts.

A lot of times, prayer is about stubbornness. A willingness to not give up until God is reached. You PUSH: pray until something happens.

If you need a miracle, if you need to be on fire for God, if you need the presence of God, do not just give God five minutes and give up. You pray until you get the breakthrough.

If you fall asleep, try again when you wake up. If you don't feel anything at first, pray until you do. If you haven't recieved from the Lord, keep asking. Remember the woman who kept persisting with her request before the wicked judge.

Matthew 11:12 says

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Can you be stubborn? Then you can get a prayer through. Whether were giving thanks, praising, petitioning, interceding, commanding, or listening, I think determination is a key ingredient. To be like Jacob and say, "Im not letting go until you bless me."

Some of you have been depressed and anxious a long time, wishing God would give you a sign that He is real and He is for you. It's time to ask for Him for more and keep pressing until you get the breakthrough you need. Be stubborn and dilligent. He's not a microwave God. But He will hear you and answer if you have faith and don't give up.

If Jacob could do it, so can we, good post sister!
Genesis 32:22-32 "And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.

26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.

28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved."
