I would also have let them stay with me so they were safe from the storm. Poor little guy.

I live in the city of Los Angeles. Years ago it was very windy... unusual for us.

On the corner I saw a somewhat large bird on the ground flapping it's wings and being tossed around by the gusts.

We didn't have cell phones then so I went back to the apartment to call animal control. Then I went back to wait for them. I think I took a cardboard box trying to shield the bird somewhat.

Anyhow the animal control officer said it was a Red Tail Hawk! He took it to a veterinarian.

This lady feeds foxes in the UK. However, she also feeds squirrels in her back yard.
This shows a squirrel in the rain coming to eat.

Also, this one shows her cat, Norman. She also has a cat, Kenny, who looks exactly like my cat....a black and white long hair.
