In the matter of predestination, it is plain that it must be what and not who, because all are called to the cross of Christ:
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
All men are assured everywhere that by Jesus Christ we can be forgiven of past sins by faith in His blood; therefore, all men everywhere are called to salvation by Jesus Christ.
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Any and every man on earth has Jesus for an advocate with the Father, and not just a few preselected before the foundation of the world.
Since all men everywhere are called to Jesus Christ for advocacy and forgiveness of sins, then if all that are called are also predestinated to be chosen, then all men everywhere are called and chosen, not just a few.
If any man says all men are not called, but only the few that are prechosen, then the Scripture is broken, and the Lamb of God is only the advocate and propitiation for them only. John lied when He said not for ours only, and Paul lied, when He said God now commands all men to repent, and Peter lied when he said God would have all men come to repentance, and finally Jesus lied, when He said He would draw all men unto Himself:
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Predestination to be conformed to who Christ is, is the process of elimination to test and prove who is answering that call and is drawn to Jesus among all men.
