The truth is that God clearly told Adam not to eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam defied God and ate the fruit. It’s as simple as that.

Your awareness is not aligned with scripture. Eve was deceived by the serpent. Not Adam. But Adam chose to follow Eve's lead and did eat. But it was by him that death entered the world. Why not by Eve since she "disobeyed" first?
