Question about Noah's animals

God tells Noah to take pairs of clean animals and pairs of unclean animals Genesis 7:2

As well as pairs of birds Genesis 7:3

Sometimes I wonder if there were other animals that were not brought on board the ark

Maybe God decided to let them die in the flood .... things like dinosaurs etc.

Could they account for the mass extinctions we see in the fossil records ?

Did God decide he didn't want them in the world after the flood ?

Actually there where 7 of each of the clean animals. Noah sacrificed one of each of the clean animals when they left the ark.

The american indians painted pictures of the long necked and long tailed dinosaures on the rock wall at Picture Rock Park. It is covered with the desert patina so they know the pictures are very old. There where dinosaurs on the ark.

The oxegyn level in the atmosphere decreased over time after the flood, which caused the big animals to move slowly. The people ate them.

our opinion is that the only animals that went into the Ark were those presented to Adam by God for him to name.
The fossil record shows that the dinosaurs did exist, but IMO were removed by God in what is know as "the overthrow", which is translated in most Bibles as "foundation". That was an event which happened millions of years earlier; probably during the "Pangaea" period.
There is much more to this, which can be given when I have 10 accepted messages on this Board.

I find it a curious coincidence that scientists conclude that fossils were created during a "rapid burial" (ie., a sudden flood). So you are suggesting that there was a previous "event"? Probably? And so, the foundation was actually an overthrow, as well? You can believe what you want, bro. We'll find out soon enough. Then we can all shake hands and have a good laugh at our various guesses.

Actually it is a serious question .... I am wondering if God decided not to save all the animals on earth.

For example .... can you imagine what life would be like if we still had dinosaurs roaming around .... they could walk through a village and destroy it

I also wonder if Noah saved only the animals living in his part of the world .... one reason I say that is dinosaur fossils are found in North America , but not in the Middle East (as far as I know)

God wanted to destroy giants (men) on the earth ..... maybe he wanted to destroy (some) of the animals too

Initially God decided to destroy everything Genesis 6: 7

Then decided to save some humans (Noah & family) .... maybe he decided just to save some animals (not all)

Another thing that stands out to me is God said the whole earth was corrupt (not just man) Genesis 6:11 ... and decided to destroy both men and earth

Then partly changed his mind (did not destroy everything ) (But did destroy lots)

Hello Williemac: yes, you are right, we are all going to be shown that we "got it wrong" by the Lord when in our new bodies!
However, I hope to show more info. on this case in the near future, which has a listing of solid scientific Authors.
In the meantime, have you heard or read Velikovsky, an accredited Russian Scientist, who was an atheist, and friend of Einstein?
One of his books, "Earth in upheaval", answers one of your points!
