The only thing that definitely happens in a moment and the twinkling of the eye is the 1st resurrection, where the dead in Christ rise first, and we that are alive and remain are changed into immortality. But the actual rising to meet with the Lord in the air is not specified in terms of time. Jesus ascended in the eyes of His disciples watching. The 2 witnesses ascended in the eyes of His persecutors watching. It is therefore more Scripturally accurate to believe that the believers resurrected and changed shall ascend to meet with the Lord in the air in the eyes of the rest of the world watching.
Also, Jesus was with the disciples after His resurrection for 40 days, and the 2 witnesses were seen of their persecutors standing on the feet on the earth for an unspecified amount of time. So, how long shall the resurrected and changed believers be standing on the earth, being seen by the rest of the world, before rising all together before their very eyes to meet with Jesus in the air with clouds?
The point is that the 'rapture' of the church is not necessarily an unseen disappearance of the church of Jesus from the earth...
