The lady at the beginning of this video is wise. After her, listen to the politician confronting the Democrats as to why they are allowing this huge influx of illegal migrants. They want their votes.

As noted in the second video, when they have children born in the USA, eventually those children will be eligible to vote. And most Hispanics have more than one or two children.
I have a neighbor/friend who is Hispanic. She says her sister has six children and she gets all sorts of free benefits provided....and doesn't work.
My friend said she guesses she should have had more than one child. (She works very hard cleaning houses.)
I don’t understand something, if these people are illegally in the country, how on earth can they get ‘ into the system ‘ without alerting the authorities because they are illegal ‘ I know you have shared before that they can get benefits but surely are they then not deported because they are illegal
They do not have to vote, the census counts bodies not eligible voters to apportion the house of representatives.
The more people in an area, the more house members they get.
Over here we have ‘ wards ‘ and each ward has a member of parliament , so the larger the area the more wards, more MPs. Obviously larger towns would be bigger any way. However each ward has to be voted on with regards to which MP is ‘ in charge.
These are the people that ultimately determine who is prime minister in a general election, we don’t vote for the actual main candidates running for that post - is that the same over there ?

Yes, ultimately.
The public votes, but electors are actually being elected by the public, and the House actually approves of or not the votes cast for POTUS.
There is no direct election of the POTUS by the general public. We do not have a democracy, we have a form of representative government.
POTUS electors are not House of Representative members. Electors are appointed by the olitical parties from each side. The public vote determines the number of electors that each side gets to have. And electors generally are sworn to vote for their parties candidate.
Bur they do not have to vote the way the public wanted, they can vote contrarily,
The higher the population numbers, the more electors a party can appoint to their side.
That is why large populous states like CA can overwhelm large in size but low population states.
Winner of an election from votes cast by the public, winner takes all electoral votes for a state, unless they get split, which is unusual
It is quite possible for a candidate to lose the popular vote country wide but win the election for POTUS because of the Electoral College.

There are a number of "sanctuary cities"....safe for illegal migrants. In these cities, the police are not allowed to ask if the person is in the country illegally.
They also will not inform ICE (Immigration and Custom Enforcement) about any illegal migrants.
People flooding illegally across our border with Mexico are saying they are seeking asylum. However, most are actually just wanting to get jobs here and then they send money back to their home countries. They are not really asylum seekers.
After asking for asylum, they are given a court date to appear about their case. Many disappear into our country, never showing up for their asylum hearing.
@Rita This is informative. When they talk about Medicaid, it's the free healthcare here available to people with practically no money.
Medi-Cal is California's form of Medicaid.

I Am not sure if it works the same way here, don’t thin Immigration are kept in the dark and I don’t think we have the same with the police not being able to ask.
We have countless groups coming into Dover on boats, many people drown trying to get here, then they are detained. Many seek asylum, pretty sure many get lost in the system and country as well, proberbly easier to do in the USA as it’s such a big country.
Do people have to show ID or anything when they go from state to state ?
After 9/11, when you fly you need ID. But no ID required for driving into another State.
