If you really want to get technical the sabbath is not Sunday but Saturday. Keeping the sabbath day holy was part of the Ten Commandments. The purpose of the commandments were to reveal man’standing with God. It was to show us the no one was righteous in the eyes of God. It is written that if you violated just one of them you were guilty of them all. Paul write the law is spiritual but he was carnal. There was no way man could keep the law. Until the law was given men were ignorant to sin. The law gave us the knowledge of sin. As Paul wrote sin was made alive. It was our schoolmaster to show us that salvation was not through the law but through Christ. Paul wrote that if a law could have been written to save us a law would have been given. No there is no way a person can keep the sabbath day holy. It is for a time when we shed this fleshly body and receive our glorified body. As Barnabas wrote who is he that can honor God with all their heart in the flesh. The law is for when this old body is change from flesh to a glorified body. So even if you could keep the sabbath day holy you’d still be guilty of them all. Because at this present time no one can keep the whole law.
Ask God to show you what his grace means and how we are justified in Christ. Then you’ll have your answers you seek.

Remember ... Teaching, Hearing, Learning, Absorbing Knowledge, is given and received by a man Bit by Bit.
God gave Knowledge, Bit by Bit, to His Created man.
Man gives Knowledge, Bit by Bit, to his
Procreated offspring.
Sabbath Day, was established for mankind TO set aside his daily necessities and daily entertainments of pleasure:
TO; focus on; Remember; Give Tribute to; mans Creator and Maker.
After 4,000 years of mankind, Hearing, Learning, Absorbing, "Practicing", TO;
* Focus on their Creator and Maker;
* Remember their Creator and Maker;
* Give Tribute to their Creator & Maker...
JESUS arrives and Reveals BY His Example;
Every Day, is "THE DAY", TO:
* Focus on a mans Creator & Maker
* Remember mans Creator & Maker
* Give Tribute to mans Creator & Maker
BY Tradition men continue" to SET aside days, TO: focus, remember, give Tribute;
Examining these days set aside...
The INTENT...
The REALITY...
Preaching Gods Word, Praising and Worshiping God...ALL GOOD...
(And minimal).
The Rituals, The Gossip, The Fashion show, The Envy, The Distractions (texting, sleeping, listening to a ball game, trying to get a business contract, flirting, pandering, planning where to go eat (that another will be cooking for you), reciting a mans same scripted words over and over, Preaching outside of Gods Word, giggling over how drunk one was at a concert, on and on...
( maximum ).
Personally...for me. Everyday is the DAY God created and made. Every DAY is the DAY I should Focus on, Remember Him, Pay Tribute to Him, whereever I may be, whatever I may be doing:
me in His Presence, He in my Presence.

The Sabbath is a weekend affair.(two days)
The Sabbath a ceremonial law was a gospel sign or shadow to the world. Not used to confirm themselves using it as a sign unto their own self. God looks upon the heart. Not shadows of the perfect eternal rest. The rest we will receive when we do receive our new incorruptible bodies. As a shadow it was designed to be used as a fast .Two day set aside that a person could do the work of sharing the gospel the true fast .
Manna gathered cooked over the fire and set aside on the first day of the two day event,(preparation) the second day the (Sabbath day) It can be eaten or shared along with other gospel needs clothing shelter etc..
On one occasion one of the members did not cook the manna from the previous first day . When he went out to seek for firewood as an example he was stoned for not preparing the previous day.
When they reached the Promised Land the manna stopped.
Exodus 15: 31-35 Because he hath despised the word of the Lord, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him. And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation. And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
