We don't repent because of our own works, rather we repent because of God's kindness towards us. Your thoughts.

Rom 2:4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

I thought about it for a moment and the conclusion I came to was that we see the Lords works, His kindness, and His love and we are then drawn to repent. Why? because we realize, once we have come to know Him, how deep and powerful His love is and we have a sense of remorse for what we have been doing and are drawn to repent and to live only for Him.
