You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your [own] affections.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Being restricted by one’s own affections is that which limits one’s ability to experience God… For Paul is addressing believer’s that were keeping something alive of self; had not yet learned to reckon themselves dead to this world and alive unto God…. Thereby does he put the issue on the believer’s themselves; being the unwillingness to give up the affections that were brought to life by being born into the life of this world….
For this is the denying to oneself truth just put forth in a different light…. For all things of sin, darkness and death are overcome in and by this truth of dying to one’s affections to, and of this world… For all scripture points to the overcoming of the affections brought to life by the fall, this is the purpose of all scripture, to point man to the restoration of all things….
For the doing of righteousness was that thing lost at the fall, it being replaced with being controlled by the affections of this world… This is why the denying of self truth is put forth by Christ as the one thing essential if one would be a disciple of His, for self must be denied if one would know God…. For in self is all the evil that was brought forth by the fall, the denying of which, frees one from all this evil of that birth if one would be willing to believe into it…
For faith is the how of the denying of self, that being, a turning away from all the affections to the this, or, the that of this world, to a turning to a simple trusting of Christ in all things… For not being open to the things of God is because one’s affections have the rule in life and not faith towards God….
For one did die with Christ, the heart that embraces this truth, will have all one’s affections die in the death of Christ, that all things might become new by the faith of the heart turning to Christ in all things….
Be blessed in not being restricted by one’s own affections, Not me
