Dan 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
God is telling Daniel there would come a time of trouble that had never happened before and at that time and thy people (Israel), who were found written in the book (book of life) would be delivered (resurected).
Dan 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
All of these things would happen at the time of the end (end of the age).
Dan 12:13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Now Daniel is being told that he would also stand in thy lot (with his people) at the end of the days (end of the age).
We can see that the above scriptures are speaking about the last days of God’s covenant with Israel.
Does this agree with the New Testament? Let’s have a look.
Mat 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Jesus and his disciples would sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Again, back to Daniel,
Dan 12:1 and at that time thy people shall be delivered
Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Jesus to his disciples,
Luk 22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
Luk 22:30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus
Judgment was given to the souls (those in spiritual bodies) that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus (disciples) that had been foretold of this matter.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
There was opened the book of life. The other book was the one the rest of the dead were judged by, the book of law they were to live by, (their works).
Dan 12:1 and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
We do not see at any place the judgment of Christians, but we do see that disciples (Christians) were already sitting with Jesus around the throne.
The resurrection and judgment was to come upon the Jews, not Christians. Why is that? Because we repented of our sins when we came to God, and we have been forgiven.
1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
We are living during a time that many false prophecy teachers speak of a future coming of Jesus because they are blind to the word of God. One only has to look at the above scriptures to prove them wrong.
Our resurrection happens just as it did with the disciples, when we pass from this earth.
Study it and God will bless!
