It's kind of ironic that you use the word spanked. Spoiled children don't need more molly-coddling. You want to go soft on things that condemn people? Fine for you. People come onto my threads and speak lies...pathologically...and I'm supposed to think they mean well? I don't believe that such willful ignorance, backed up by pride and a condemning attitude, should be tolerated on my threads. I'm not the one policing the forum. I'm reaching out to true seekers who want to discuss actual salvation issues. Not so the indoctrinated ones. If you weren't just as partisan and bent yourself you would see that I mainly don't respond to those who attack me. But the bible says that at times the foolish ones need to be confronted. Otherwise they will think there is consensus on lies.

I don't see you gently correcting the pretenders. And I think your attacks on my character show your own hypocrisy in living colour. Face it, you also hate the truth. You are simply gaslighting me. More very unchristian behaviour.

My dear brother,

As you say, you have received a job from the Lord to warn your brothers and sisters for the upcoming judgement when we all will stand before the Lord and receive His judgement and I don't question your job.

OTOH, I also have job, a prophecy I received which stated : I have to speak out against the iniquities of my brothers. And so I now bluntly do : Epi, you preach humbleness and there is no humbleness in your posts, instead your are condescending, judgemental and unloving, repent.

You are a leader, this passage came to my mind -

John 21:15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”

He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”

John 21:16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”

He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”

John 21:17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”

Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.

Feed the sheep, take care of them, love them.

Do you not believe that our new man is holy...?..since it is created in the image of He who created it? I consider that it is not merely positional but is something more profoundly true. But we need to learn to walk in our new man. The sufferings/chastisements that we go through are to weaken and overcome/crucify our old man that we may partake of Christ's holiness and walk in the new man. We have received it in seed form in the beginning, so to speak. But it needs to grow and come forth, be perfected/completed. Otherwise we may be cut off as an unfruitful tree if the Lord so judges. How I understand what scripture is saying.

You have read much more than me......what do all those who testify and experience holiness say about this? Do they all agree with what you are saying?

"The new man"
Lizbeth, let me introduce myself. I am a formally educated Theologian and Historian educated in five countries.
An education, a religion, a hobby. Ordained Pastor.....but I have never served as a pastor.....I am a speaker and occasional substitute Sunday School Teacher. I have a ministry of teaching and exposing false beliefs. I worship with several different denominations.

The new man concept is interesting and important. The topic of Baptism, the new man, born again....the sinless Christian.
According to tradition early converts were taught the meaning and effects of Baptism. And the new converts recited the Apostle's Creed out loud in public before being Baptized in water.

Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4
Of course Yeshua said that we had to be born again in water and spirit.
Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

When we come up out the water at Baptism we are born again.....and new man....a new woman.....the old person and their sins blotted from God's memory. It is the one time in our lives that we will be completely sinless. One should appreciate this moment and preserve it.....not that it will last long LOL. It is good time to reflect on yourself and plan how you are going to apply Yeshua to your life.

Be good and do good.....go to church and participate in the Bread and Wine Ritual. Fellowship with Christians and worship the Lord with Christians.

God bless

I think that is about it. A good few thought that it brought one too near far eastern practises.

Yes, that is true and the Asian Christians in return have accused their western brethren that they are too much rational and should be more spiritual.

yeah then why do so many now enter into a lie they think is love and is rest .
WHY , WHY on this g reen earth is any christain
serving in any way that ecumeincal harlot , her interfiath of anti christ plan
and that all inclusive god who is none other than satan .
OH we cant preach BELIEF and then turn around and preach UNBELIEF .
EITHER WE BELIEVE ONE MUST ABSOLUTELY BELIEVE ON JESUS to be saved
OR WE DONT . BUT IT cannot , it will not be both . And on my watch , I WONT LET IT BE BoTH .
I am gonna remind remind remind that either we TRULY DO BELEIVE
or we DONT . but it cannotbe both . SO allow me some parting words
i am sure is gonna anger a lot of folks .
EVERY OTHER RELIGOIN is of satan . THERE I Said it and I MEAN and MEANT IT .
THEY as lost as i once was .
ONLY ONE WAY , ONE WAY and i do MEAN ONE way
to even be Translated OUT of the darkness and power of satan .
AND HIS NAME BE JESUS CHRIST .
AND OH YEAH , YOU GOTS TO Believe .
IN FACT those who do recieve HIS testimony have set to their seal that GOD IS TRUE .
IN FACT those who do not beleive the testimony that GOD gave of the SON , call GOD A LIAR .
THAT IS A FACT .
AND ALL WHO DENY HIM , THEY WILL BE DENIED . TIME TO PREACH JESUS . JESUS . JESUS .
and time to flee anything ecuemincal intefaith NOW .
They enter into that lie for the same reason so many people enter into the lie that Jesus plus their works keep them saved. And what lie is that? Picking and choosing the verses that support their belief system and ignoring the ones that go against it.

seeing that many now holler love all day and yet most serve the love of the world NOT OF GOD
do allow me to point us to a letter written
by an apostel named JOHN . Who spoke more about LOVE in his letter than most .
AND YOU COUNT UP the times HE REMINDED about teh DIRE NEED TO BELIEVE ON JESUS .
THEN splain that to EPI . This generation is about done in my friend .
Well not on my watch . They can sell out , but not this sheep .
I dont buy the love of any ecumeincal harlot who has sold OUT the gospel
for a fat LIE .
ANYONE , ANYONE who does NOT believe the testimony that GOD gave of the SON , THEY aint
coming to GOD in some other way , THEY CALL GOD A LIAR .
ITS ONLY HE who recieves HIS testimony that has set to his seal that GOD is true .
ALL else is but flapping lips of vainity upon vainity and upon more vainity .
AND since i speak OF THE DIRE NEED TO BELIEVE ON JESUS
allow one more reminder to be made .
IF anyones jesus accepts ANY and i do mean ANY SIN , WELL its not JESUS , its the devil using HIS NAME
to simply feed them their own sinful hearts desire .
Pretty point blank . BUT SOMEONE has to be m yfriend . this generation IS NOT gonna make it .
And its time for the true sheep to rise up and stand and MORE THAN EVER
contend for the one true faith .

I assume you will agree with me that coming to Christ means a changed life.

It's called bearing fruit by Jesus.

It's always a good thing to consider gentleness and love of the brethren. And I appreciate the reminder. But the iniquity that is going on, you are not seeing...not yet. Iniquity is not being stern with unbelief...it is mixing holiness with what is common...treating the word of God as something to exploit for personal gain. People have vastly underestimated the devil's power to deceive, and people, including yourself, are not able to endure sound doctrine. I watch your reaction. You act as if the modern gospel was not the "another" gospel that Paul warned us about.

Between you and I, it's not like we are on the same team. I don't think you understand what humility entails. It doesn't mean that a person is not sure or has no authority. It doesn't mean that what I teach has to be seen as an opinion.

OK Let's get biblical. What does Paul charge Timothy to do? Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 2 Tim 4:2

The bible says, rebuke a wise man and he will love you. But a fool hates correction. Is rebuke seen as gentleness? I am going after the inner man...not trying to reason with the outer man sin nature.

And Peter? what does he say? "If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ."

Am I qualified to speak as the oracle of God here on the forum? That is the real issue. Am I speaking from opinion and indoctrination like so many here? No, I'm speaking as one who saves souls from rejection at the coming judgment. I'm speaking as one who understands the situation...seeing the huge gulf between where people are at, and what is the very minimum standard of God for acceptance into the kingdom. Woe is me if I don't warn others. Then their blood is on my head. I realize that people have blood on their hands...and it looks like I'm the one bringing disorder.

I can't speak of holy things on this forum because of the many mockers and unbelievers posing as believers. I can't "show my credentials" here. I use the bible here (sola scriptura) as that is seen to be superior to an actual connection to God. People actually don't know the bible or understand it's meaning. And the dishonesty is flagrant.

But notice whose thread I'm on. I don't go around looking for trouble. I'm not the forum police. But people come onto my threads (who sent them?) to destroy the teaching that can save others. They trample what is pure with their unholy and filthy feet (iniquity) to make things unpalatable for those who are hungry for the truth. So I defend the humble...the ones who are chased off by the crows who speak without love or fear...having no respect for what is true ministry.

So think about it. Why did Jesus rebuke Peter for trying to soften Jesus' mission in Jerusalem (Get behind Me Satan)? Was Jesus being unloving, harsh, not gentle? Or did Jesus accurately point out something that Peter was doing without knowing what his apparent "gentleness" in this case was trying to promote?

It's about depth of purpose. You save a drowning man by knocking him out...or pulling him out by the hair if necessary. Otherwise he will try taking you under with him. Show me that you care as much for souls as them feeling good about themselves....and we'll talk.

Cursed is he that keeps back his sword from blood

many do indeed pick and choose verses that support their belief and ignoring many that go against it .
The number of that moutain of souls who does that is astounding and so large a man could not even number
it .

Yes the new man in Christ is holy - completely holy, you cannot have partial holiness. ALL things become new. A little yeast spoils the whole dough (or whatever). At that point, the old man has been crucified and this is vital as the Holy Spirit cannot dwell where there is sin. It must be done away with. Either or. The OT is full of this message. Yes it is through the blood of Christ, but that blood enables man to be holy as it washes away his sin.

The problem is that the person who has a first encounter after being evangelised is encouraged to believe things in scripture that do not apply to him/her yet. The truth of what the new man is, has been revealed but it is not, as you say, in their real life. They still sin without intention.

Then therre is the myth about gradual sanctification that will gradually take place till death perfects it. The Bible does not say this. It emphasises today.

Yes those who say they are walking in this doctrine all say the same. They all have the terstimony that they were convicted when they stopped resisting the Holy Spirit and learned their true state whereby they could truly repent.
Such a big subject, and I'm not sure I'm up to it. All I can say is that no true doctrine is going to take away the foundation and destroy anyone's faith in it........we must not be moved off the foundation........though we must grow up from it, because the foundation is just the beginning.

Rom 10:8-13

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

Eph 2:4-10

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are HIS workmanship
, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Rom 4:1-9

What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

Romans 5 also….too much to post here, but that chapter reiterate the same things. Hope maketh not ashamed, righteousness is a free gift, etc. Any doctrine that moves us off this foundation cannot be right.

And after that of course we need to grow/increase and bear fruit, running the race so as to win it, bringing fruit to perfection…..that theme of growth is all over the scriptures. There are different stages of growth along the way….scripture speaks of there being virgins without number, large number of concubines, and only one bride. That is the "one" winner of the race, so to speak. The single eye of a dove. We must do our best, being or becoming single eyed and perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord. But God is the only judge of each soul, how well a person is running the race, what rewards one will receive, or lose, and whether we are on the narrow path, etc. I don't accept that the subject of holiness is as cut and dried the way it is being made out to be on these thread....it needs to be in spirit, not a dead letter. Each one is responsible to be doing their best to obey and follow Jesus, and always seeking to do better.... God expects sincerity.....whole heartedness......and that is judged by being whole hearted at whatever phase of growth one is at. For example Peter was zealously whole-hearted as a disciple of Jesus before the Holy Spirit was even given, but he was just not mature yet. (I think God showed him that he still had a ways to go when he was tested and denied the Lord.) His fruit was there but needed to be matured, ripened and brought to perfection/completion.

And outer darkness that Epi talks about is not a lower level in eternity, it is speaking of a soul that has perished. Parable of the TEN virgins (a minyan) is talking first to the Jews about the glory of the first covenant, but that they could only enter the new covenant with extra oil (Holy Spirit, Spirit of Christ – glory of the new covenant) and those who didn't enter the new covenant, clearly it meant they would not be saved, hence be cast into outer darkness.

I know that the church at large in the west has gotten off the track....they are not even on the narrow path any more.....that means they are in grave danger. But I believe a not-yet-fully-matured believing soul who is on the narrow path at any stage along the way is safe as long as they stay on the narrow path, staying in the race running it and walking according to the light they have received wherever they are along the way.

"The new man"
Lizbeth, let me introduce myself. I am a formally educated Theologian and Historian educated in five countries.
Oh my. You can be forgiven for that. We all have a past ;)
An education, a religion, a hobby. Ordained Pastor.....but I have never served as a pastor.....I am a speaker and occasional substitute Sunday School Teacher. I have a ministry of teaching and exposing false beliefs. I worship with several different denominations.

Exposing false beliefs? You mean exposing whatever is not from man-made traditions
The new man concept is interesting and important.

The New Man is only a concept for theologian types (the ones who decided if the woman was a witch or not), who have never had any encounter with the living God.
The topic of Baptism, the new man, born again....the sinless Christian.
According to tradition early converts were taught the meaning and effects of Baptism. And the new converts recited the Apostle's Creed out loud in public before being Baptized in water.

This is much later...the ecumenical councils that invented creeds came about only in the 4th century...as you well know. Before that there were different practices....like the apostolic baptism in Jesus' name. This is before the trinity heresy. No one can baptize in the name of the Father or in the "name" of the Spirit. The Father sent Jesus to us...we don't go to the Father but by Christ. It isn't the Father that sends us it is the Son. You should know that. And no one can baptize in the name of a Spirit. The Spirit has no name. And the early believers were baptized in the POWER of the Spirit. That power was replaced by a name because they had no power and because they wanted control over the church while having no power. So the authority was counterfeit.
Acts 2:38

Amen. The gift of the Spirit
When we come up out the water at Baptism we are born again

That;s churchy doctrine but it's not true. Being born from the Spirit means you are enlightened into .... having a glimpse of... the eternal realm in Zion...in heaven. That's why it's called born from above. That taste of eternal life is a sample (the talent in the parable of the talents) of what is meant to cause us to sell all we have and BUY the full measure of grace by going to God at His throne of grace. From there we walk in the power of the Spirit.
.....and new man....a new woman.....the old person and their sins blotted from God's memory. It is the one time in our lives that we will be completely sinless.

For most people this is true. But that's because they bury their talent, so to speak. The new birth is meant to inform the new believer that God is waiting for them on the other side of this present world to enter through the veil of Christ and walk in His resurrection life.
One should appreciate this moment and preserve it.....not that it will last long LOL. It is good time to reflect on yourself and plan how you are going to apply Yeshua to your life.

Or bury it. That's what simple preservation does to your one time taste of holiness. A taste is just a sample of what God is offering us through the gospel. It informs us as to why we would forsake the things of this world in order to enter fully into Christ. The cost is ALL we have and are. Paul claimed to have counted all things (including his scholarly attainments) as dung in order to win Christ.
Be good and do good.....go to church and participate in the Bread and Wine Ritual. Fellowship with Christians and worship the Lord with Christians.

God bless
Be the church.

Two things that also are very simple to explain .
Number one . ANYONE who is following CHRIST would have BELIEVED in HIM and that it was NECESSARY TO ABSOLUTELY
have to believe on HIM .
Number two is , JESUS aint the minstir of sin , so any so called image of him that accepts any sin , IS NOT OF HIM or HIM .
Now while its true those in dead faith can lip His name , its only this people honors me with their lips but their HEART
is far from me . Dead .
But NO true sheep of GOD would ever do what i seen some doing sister .
OMITTING the DIRE NECESSITY to EVEN HAVE HAD to BELIEVE ON JESUS . that is avery clear sign
something is totally dead wrong . I mean look at even
the letter of john . John who wrote more about love in his le tter , DARN sure said more than once
the DIRE NECESSITY of having to BELEIVE ON JESUS .
Epi dont and epi wont do that . Thus it wont matter how many teachings He might think
he brings from JESUS . Its nothing more than yet again a works based self righteousness .
We cannot teach to the things of JESUS while at the same TIME omitting the fact ONE has TO BELIEVE on HIM .
They can try all day to pick up that cross sister , But without FAITH is naught but in vain .
In fact some of them even THINK they do teach all things JESUS said . KINDA odd sister
THEY DARN sure omit his dire warnings AND HOW often HE did warn about THE DIRE NECESSITY TO BELIEVE on HIM .
TRYING to teach the things of JESUS and even thinking one can pick up that cross
WITHOUT FIRST HAVING to had BELIEVED , HAD F AITH IN HE WHO was CRUcIFIED on that cross
IS ALL A LIE and ALL IN VAIN . YOU SEE that DOES NOT IN ANY WAY
HONOR THE SON thus NOR DO IT THE FATHER . AND GOD does desire SUCH GLORY.
THAT we DO realize IT was soley by the grace of GOD by faith IN JESUS one can even be saved . NOW
GOD actually does desire that honor and that honor to be given to HIS SON .
Something ol mr put the horse in the cart HAS NO IDEA about sister .

I appreciate you sharing that, Lizbeth. I just want to say though, the joy of the Lord is our strength, not our suffering and not our performance. His burden is supposed to be light.

You mentioned Hebrews 6 earlier, what do you think that passage is actually warning about? Do you feel like it’s about a believer losing salvation?
God gives us His joy, comfort, and encouragement when in His wisdom He knows we need it.....and not in such great measure that it spoils us. We can have songs in the night. But we are not here to feel good. Jesus is thoroughly winnowing His threshing floor.....being threshed doesnt' feel so good but we need it. When we are ready the Lord begins to shine His light so that we start to see just how thoroughly sinful we truly are......the goal I believe is that we would thoroughly repent of our sinfulness (old man) in a wholesale way, lock, stock and barrel. We are not to rest on our laurels and use grace as a license to hold onto our sinfulness once the Lord reveals it to us. Like the children of Israel the wilderness journey revealed where they still lacked. It's not necessarily that we sin outwardly, at least not in big ways hopefully, but it more concerns our inward sinfulness, which sometimes causes us to sin inadvertently or without realizing it and which can be sins of commission or omission.

When I came to the Lord the only sin I repented of (shamefacedly) was the sin of unbelief......some other sins fell away automatically.....others I turned from as I was instructed in the word and it wasn't difficult by His grace.....His yoke is easy/light. As time (many years) went on the Lord let me know that bridal intimacy involves letting the Lord into areas of our heart that we would rather keep covered.......and He gave me a dream to let me know this was His great pleasure to cleanse me so that I would not be afraid of this process. We tend to want to cover over and hide our shortcomings rather than first of all face them ourselves and then confess them to the Lord.

Suffering is a key part of the process......the bible says if we suffer in the body we are done with sin.

Heb 12:3-11

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? ( submit to Him in this process until we are thoroughly submitted to Him)

For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous:
nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;

And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

Elsewhere the scripture says "if we suffer with Him, we will reign (overcome) with Him". There is a lot written about suffering which we tend to kind of gloss over until we are ready to face it. Maybe it is the Lord kind of hiding things from His children when we are not yet ready for them, and then begins to feed us with those things once He deems we are ready.

I read Guyon more or less made quietism popular. I am trying to understand, you kneel into a prayer of silence, waiting for the Lord to speak or to experience His presence. Am I close?
"Methods" and formulas are just rituals. But life is in the Spirit....the Spirit is life. When we are praying, at some point the Lord by His Spirit may begin to join with us and lead in our prayer as it were, and He may lead us into periods of silence in His presence and waiting upon Him....I believe it can be a fertile time in ways that we dont know. I think it doesn't hurt to confirm with others that this is a legitimate thing in the Lord, but not to make it into a method/ritual that we should try to conjure it up ourselves. (I dont know if that is what Guyon was doing though.....possibly it is just how some others took it. The flesh so often gets hold of legitimate things of God and turns it into something it isn't meant to be.)

But I believe a not-yet-fully-matured believing soul who is on the narrow path at any stage along the way is safe as long as they stay on the narrow path, staying in the race running it and walking according to the light they have received wherever they are along the way.
I agree, that God has mercy towards those who have not hardened their hearts and seek Him and as you say, walk according to the light they have been given. For these, He is most patient and will give them all chances they need to fulfill His purpose for all men, to restore them to what He intended, to heal them to the wholeness they need to be able to be in full fellowship with Him and perfected, before they die. Scripture says that as a tree falls so it will lie which indicates that it is in this life that our life eternal is set.

The hardened of heart have made their choice.

The soft hearted though, have every opportunity to reach this stage and if they do not the fault lies with them for not responding to the many tims He speaks either through others or pricks to their consciences. The more that time goes on though, the more used they become to these pricks if they ignore them.

It is never His fault if they fail. They did not go on to perfction because they trusted in their own understanding.

No works save us, it is all grace but we have a part. We must give consent and obey.

God bless
Thank you for your reply. I want to ask, are you born of the Spirit though...?

Baptism is a kind of prophetic enactment that kind of "seals" something that has already happened in the Spirit. It doesn't in itself cause one to become born again, but one must be born of the spirit ( have received Christ by faith) before undergoing the baptism that is a living picture of what has happened in our hearts.

The Lord's supper is a kind of refreshing (bread and wine by proxy) of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. It is an opportunity to bring to the cross things that we need to, and that is why we need to examine ourselves before partaking.

As the Lord was gracious to show me these things at some point along the way. There is power in both Baptism and Communion, and neither one is merely a ritual.

I am used to do that, waiting on the Lord in prayer, but always when there is a question. The difference with quietism is that you also do it when there is no question, just because you feel the need to experience (long for) His presence, I think.

Amen, we might wait on Him for answers too and other reasons as you are mentioning. I'm not sure how Guyon approached it, just wanted to make a point in general. Hope I didn't speak out of turn.

I don't know for sure because I'm not there yet........but if God brings a soul to a spiritual crisis (as I've read how some express it) of "do or die" then they better "do" (by His grace) rather than "die". But if He hasn't led a soul to that place, I wonder if it is possible that some might be imposing their own personal "do or die" on others whom the Lord hasn't brought to that place yet. Hope that makes sense, it is hard to express.

Yes I understand. Anyone can check if they are online by asking God where they are not walking with Him as they could. He will answer.
