Wow, oh wow. This is illuminating, and very sad. I wondered if that was what shepherdsword was hinting at. It sounds like Roman Catholicism.

What do you do with where it says "he who has this hope in him purifies himself, even as Christ is pure? " (Both the hope and the purification are because Christ is in him.) That is personal isn't it? And the new man? Is that corporate and not personal?

1Co 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

This is Christ's Spirit. Does the Holy Spirit only dwell in the church corporately and not individually? Are souls not saved individually?

And Christ in us is the thing that separates the gospel from false belief systems and religions.....including ones being done in His name.

Anyway these are rhetorical questions, I really don't want to talk about it further with you. I understand you much better now. And why the silence when certain key things are said, or scriptures posted. You are propagating a FALSE gospel.....it's actually a belief system, not the gospel at all. I can no longer speak to you as a brother, nor your followers who also can't affirm the foundation of the faith and also appear to consider it to be an illusion or strong delusion as you do.
Put down your self-interest and we can talk.

Yes, everyone must see everything exactly as you say or burn in hell, got it.
1. No believer burns in hell. All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

2. We must obey the whole counsel of God...not just take what is pleasant for the eyes and that promises life...like Eve did when she ate of the fruit of the forbidden tree.

3. You are free to comment on what I say...accurately...as you are not doing now.

4. You also need to put your own opinions to the test. Check to see if you are in the Spirit or just reacting in the flesh. Hint: Facetious comments don't come from the Spirit.

Some might think that my pointing out self-interest....is wrong....but that motivation for self-justification is not life-giving...quite the opposite. People who read the bible looking for justification instead of the truth are reading themselves into the warnings of the bible. The bible interprets us! It's so ironic that the only ones who see and cooperate with God's many warnings are those who are NOT self-interested. But it is the self-interested ones who need to pay particular attention to the warnings. Those who get upset that I point out the warnings do so out of self-interest....otherwise they would love the truth more than what they can get out of God.

God promised to send delusion to all who didn't love the truth...who clung to their own life as something precious.

No believer burns in hell. All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

You got that from the false doctrines of reformed theology and it's false.

If one turns away from the Lord they will not be spending eternity with Him.

One must confess and forsake their sin to be back in right standing with the Lord IF they were to sin.

But you reformed people claim we can sin so that grace can about which is not what the Lord teaches in His Word.

We must obey the whole counsel of God...

You should follow your own advice and actually accept the whole counsel of God.

You are free to comment on what I say...accurately...as you are not doing now.

I was being very accurate... in your mind, those that don't agree with everything you say are heretics.

You also need to put your own opinions to the test. Check to see if you are in the Spirit or just reacting in the flesh. Hint: Facetious comments don't come from the Spirit.

I left my own opinions behind when I got born again.

The true Holy Spirit never led anyone to be catholic or reformed.

So that you know @Lizbeth that your heart is desperately wicked, lucky us Epi is not our final arbiter, instead he is an accuser of the brethren, for which one day he will be held responsible by the real final arbiter, our God, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

This post of yours is the lowest, mean judgemental you ever wrote.

I am out of here.
Good old holy Saint Episkopos....this is not unusual for him. Expect it's because he is trying to be holy without having Christ in him.

Christ is the chief cornerstone IN you......IN all who believe, who have received Him........Christ IN you the hope of glory......and he who has this hope IN him purifies himself, even as He (Christ) is pure. This is the foundation of the faith, of the gospel. Our starting point. Who here can say amen (witness) to that? @Episkopos @Laurina @shepherdsword @MostlyConfused Do you agree? Can I hear an amen, or would you like to discuss?
It's just a simple yes or no question, unless they want to qualify their answers. Not difficult I would have thought. It will only take a second of their time.
No, it's not a simple "yes or no."
It’s the wrong part of you asking, and seeking for confirmation. It especially shows in your most recent posts:

#1481 "I hope you agree that..........Anyway, hope you agree with these things."
#1484 "Do you agree with my post? Is that how you see...."
#1486 "Do you agree/disagree?"
#1489 "Yes, I agree. But...........It is a good reminder, do you not agree?"

I'd like to bring attention to something you said in another of your posts:

#1483 "The Lord ministers what He knows each soul needs at any given time."

Perhaps that is why you asked all these particular questions lately, and you are getting perhaps not the answers (confirmation) you desire. ("The Lord ministers what He knows each soul needs at any given time.")
Earlier (I believe it was in this thread) you had mentioned that you believe that God will guide you (I can't remember your exact wording but in my words) ...into all truth. I remember thinking it will NOT BE how you imagine...in that, all that you have built will have to be razed down by God before He starts to build. You may or may not realize, that as you have been learning about God's ways, your flesh has also been learning and growing like a religious weed beside your inner man. Can you actually differentiate between your religious flesh and inner man?? If you could, you would NOT be discouraged by Epikopos, but rather encouraged in your faith and inner man. Remember what you said in post #1483, "The Lord ministers what He knows each soul needs at any given time." Do you honestly believe it??

You have been following Episkopos' threads over the years wanting to learn more about holiness, and even though he experienced holiness twice in his lifetime (so far), you are not happy with his words, even mocking his testimony...there is always something that you disagree with. And, with anyone who tries knocking Epikopos down, you "like" their posts...revealing your heart.
I suggested a book (that helped me very much), nope, many reasons why it's not good.
MostlyConfused sees you, but you can't accept what she sees.
Shepherdsword called you on your "me" complex, but you had excuses for him as well.

Have you heard the story of a person who was sitting on the roof of his/her house because of severe flooding? This person of great faith was praying, asking God for help. A boat was going by and asked the person on the roof if they needed help. The person responded that God would help them, so the boat kept going, there were other people needing help. Then a helicopter came by and asked if they could help, but the person again refused. That person ended up being washed away in the flood waters. After death, that person questioned God why He didn't save them. God said, "I did, I sent a boat and I sent a helicopter but you refused my help."

Unfortunately, that's how I see you. God is sending you help, but you refuse it. You're FLESH (SELF) has grown so BIG you can't see the help in front of you, the help sent by God that you prayed for.

"The Lord ministers what He knows each soul needs at any given time."

You got that from the false doctrines of reformed theology and it's false.

You got that from the place you say I got that. Lawless believers are cast into outer darkness. Read the bible for yourself.
If one turns away from the Lord they will not be spending eternity with Him.

Agreed.
One must confess and forsake their sin to be back in right standing with the Lord IF they were to sin.

But you reformed people claim we can sin so that grace can about which is not what the Lord teaches in His Word.

You are projecting your own ideas on me. Can you read? Can you listen? The OP has a video

I find you to be as dishonest as many here who neither read not listen, but comment from their own imagination.

If you want to act in a proper way then quote what I say. You obviously don't read the bible with any kind of honesty either...

So in your case I would urge you to not falsely accuse and learn to be honest. Confess and forsake...as you have said. Do it.
You should follow your own advice and actually accept the whole counsel of God.

You wouldn't know what that is, obviously. Point out where I haven't...Are you just reading slogans from a prompt card? From your favourite list of accusations...to see what sticks? You add nothing here but more foolishness.
I was being very accurate... in your mind, those that don't agree with everything you say are heretics.

Where do you see that?
I left my own opinions behind when I got born again.

The true Holy Spirit never led anyone to be catholic or reformed.
You justify yourself in vanity.

I always hope that those who play the devil's advocate here in defending the flesh...are doing it for instructional purposes only and are not really that deceived...

Dear, I wanted to know what you and others believe, that's all. Cross my heart. Didn't know where this was going when I asked. But now I know. Now I see. Job done.

And once again, I am not against holiness...........but the foundation that subject is sitting on here is wrong, it's not the gospel. It's even worse than I had previously seen.

I hope so. The foundation is holy. You are not. If the root be holy so are the branches. If we sin then we are not CONNECTED to the vine. Christ does not minister sin. He who sins is a slave of sin...according to Jesus.

You can't TWEAK holiness to include sin. You have to get out of the way and let Christ take over. As in...no longer I. Let go...and let God. If you can't do that...all your interest in holiness is vain.

Holiness is not in you. Holiness is in Christ alone for us. You need to be translated into Him and His world to partake of His holiness. Outside of self. The self is holding you captive. Break the self and be free...and maybe even translated into the kingdom of God's dear Son.
