The story of the "church in the wilderness" shows a second baptism (crossing the Jordan) after the first baptism of crossing the Red Sea. The apostle wrote that these things happened unto them and were written down as ensamples to the church so we need to see what it is saying to the church. Crossing the Jordan to enter the Promised Land is associated with being "circumcised a second time"....see Joshua 5:2. Our first baptism (circumcision) was in water, the second baptism I believe is the baptism of fire that John the Baptist said Jesus would do.

The two crossings match up with what I said about three stages: there is a movement to two new locations, from a first. God leads them to each one, each nearer to the promnised land. Please note that here is no continuing journey to the promised land, there is a definate break in the crossing where there is a divine intervention to make it possible. God acts.

It's always a good thing to consider gentleness and love of the brethren. And I appreciate the reminder. But the iniquity that is going on, you are not seeing...not yet. Iniquity is not being stern with unbelief...it is mixing holiness with what is common...treating the word of God as something to exploit for personal gain. People have vastly underestimated the devil's power to deceive, and people, including yourself, are not able to endure sound doctrine. I watch your reaction. You act as if the modern gospel was not the "another" gospel that Paul warned us about.

Between you and I, it's not like we are on the same team. I don't think you understand what humility entails. It doesn't mean that a person is not sure or has no authority. It doesn't mean that what I teach has to be seen as an opinion.

OK Let's get biblical. What does Paul charge Timothy to do? Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 2 Tim 4:2

The bible says, rebuke a wise man and he will love you. But a fool hates correction. Is rebuke seen as gentleness? I am going after the inner man...not trying to reason with the outer man sin nature.

And Peter? what does he say? "If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ."

Am I qualified to speak as the oracle of God here on the forum? That is the real issue. Am I speaking from opinion and indoctrination like so many here? No, I'm speaking as one who saves souls from rejection at the coming judgment. I'm speaking as one who understands the situation...seeing the huge gulf between where people are at, and what is the very minimum standard of God for acceptance into the kingdom. Woe is me if I don't warn others. Then their blood is on my head. I realize that people have blood on their hands...and it looks like I'm the one bringing disorder.

I can't speak of holy things on this forum because of the many mockers and unbelievers posing as believers. I can't "show my credentials" here. I use the bible here (sola scriptura) as that is seen to be superior to an actual connection to God. People actually don't know the bible or understand it's meaning. And the dishonesty is flagrant.

But notice whose thread I'm on. I don't go around looking for trouble. I'm not the forum police. But people come onto my threads (who sent them?) to destroy the teaching that can save others. They trample what is pure with their unholy and filthy feet (iniquity) to make things unpalatable for those who are hungry for the truth. So I defend the humble...the ones who are chased off by the crows who speak without love or fear...having no respect for what is true ministry.

So think about it. Why did Jesus rebuke Peter for trying to soften Jesus' mission in Jerusalem (Get behind Me Satan)? Was Jesus being unloving, harsh, not gentle? Or did Jesus accurately point out something that Peter was doing without knowing what his apparent "gentleness" in this case was trying to promote?

It's about depth of purpose. You save a drowning man by knocking him out...or pulling him out by the hair if necessary. Otherwise he will try taking you under with him. Show me that you care as much for souls as them feeling good about themselves....and we'll talk.

What does it mean to trust that Jesus' death and resurrection is sufficient." As I asked...sufficient for what? If you were honest you would have not avoided the question based on semantics. Can you answer a simple question based on the vague statement you made?

How does one partake of the gospel? How does one partake of Christ and His death and resurrection? What is the action of "trusting" in what Jesus did for the world? How do you make it personal to you?

God gives us His joy, comfort, and encouragement when in His wisdom He knows we need it.....and not in such great measure that it spoils us. We can have songs in the night. But we are not here to feel good. Jesus is thoroughly winnowing His threshing floor.....being threshed doesnt' feel so good but we need it. When we are ready the Lord begins to shine His light so that we start to see just how thoroughly sinful we truly are......the goal I believe is that we would thoroughly repent of our sinfulness (old man) in a wholesale way, lock, stock and barrel. We are not to rest on our laurels and use grace as a license to hold onto our sinfulness once the Lord reveals it to us. Like the children of Israel the wilderness journey revealed where they still lacked. It's not necessarily that we sin outwardly, at least not in big ways hopefully, but it more concerns our inward sinfulness, which sometimes causes us to sin inadvertently or without realizing it and which can be sins of commission or omission.

When I came to the Lord the only sin I repented of (shamefacedly) was the sin of unbelief......some other sins fell away automatically.....others I turned from as I was instructed in the word and it wasn't difficult by His grace.....His yoke is easy/light. As time (many years) went on the Lord let me know that bridal intimacy involves letting the Lord into areas of our heart that we would rather keep covered.......and He gave me a dream to let me know this was His great pleasure to cleanse me so that I would not be afraid of this process. We tend to want to cover over and hide our shortcomings rather than first of all face them ourselves and then confess them to the Lord.

Suffering is a key part of the process......the bible says if we suffer in the body we are done with sin.

Heb 12:3-11

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Elsewhere the scripture says "if we suffer with Him, we will reign (overcome) with Him". There is a lot written about suffering which we tend to kind of gloss over until we are ready to face it. Maybe it is the Lord kind of hiding things from His children when we are not yet ready for them, and then begins to feed us with those things once He deems we are ready.

The Bible is written in such a way that we'll find whatever we're looking for. If we're looking for grace, we'll find grace. If we're looking for works, we'll find works.

But the right view is the one that harmonizes the two, contradicting neither the grace verses nor the law verses.

And the beauty of it is that once you harmonize them, that's when you truly understand grace.

And notice how He put it - the ones who are well don't send for a doctor. It's the sick who do. He wasn't saying the Pharisees were actually righteous. He was saying they thought they were, and that's exactly what kept them from coming to Him.

He was pointing out that they were self-righteous and blinded to the fact that they were in desperate need of help.

It's the same thing He was doing when He said “unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you'll in no case enter the kingdom.”

Everybody listening thought the Pharisees were the standard. But they weren't righteous at all. Jesus called them whited sepulchres, clean on the outside and full of dead men's bones. So He's not telling anybody to climb higher than them. He's telling them the whole ladder is the wrong ladder. What you need is a righteousness that isn't yours and isn't theirs. You need the righteousness of Christ.

Stop with the religious reasoning already. Stop bashing the righteous...God is merciful towards the meek. Jesus asked the Pharisees...why do you condemn the guiltless? Do you think that God will have mercy on those who condemn the guiltless?
My new video goes into greater detail on a this kind of iniquity that is really a set up religious trap to condemn the unmerciful. It is entitled...Who are the modern Pharisees? It is meant to save the souls of those who have fallen into the iniquity ditch that lines the road to life.

Those who don't need a doctor are not such because they THINK they are healthy but are not. You twist the meaning of Jesus' teaching. Read the bible for what is written, not as you were conditioned to read. In that context Jesus says...I desire mercy not sacrifice.

If it wasn't for God's mercy then none could be saved. THAT is the foundation of salvation....not some self-righteousness scheme of having certain beliefs.

The wisdom of God is to hide His ways from the proud and religiously self-important.

Repent of your ways and turn to God who is merciful.

The irony is that your accusation against the righteous falls back on you...the double-edged sword cuts 2 ways. This is how God has set up His ways. If you are not merciful in your heart...then you will forego God's mercy.

Two things that also are very simple to explain .
Number one . ANYONE who is following CHRIST would have BELIEVED in HIM and that it was NECESSARY TO ABSOLUTELY
have to believe on HIM .
Number two is , JESUS aint the minstir of sin , so any so called image of him that accepts any sin , IS NOT OF HIM or HIM .
Now while its true those in dead faith can lip His name , its only this people honors me with their lips but their HEART
is far from me . Dead .
But NO true sheep of GOD would ever do what i seen some doing sister .
OMITTING the DIRE NECESSITY to EVEN HAVE HAD to BELIEVE ON JESUS . that is avery clear sign

the letter of john . John who wrote more about love in his le tter , DARN sure said more than once
the DIRE NECESSITY of having to BELEIVE ON JESUS .

Yes, but we need "ears to hear" how it applies to us as believers, on another level so to speak. We still need to cleanse the inside of our vessels so to speak don't we......otherwise why would believers still need to be chastised as sons that we might partake of His holiness? For us cleansing the inside of the cup, the end goal, means to finally cleanse it of the old man, get rid of it.....finally sacrifice it on the altar that the fire from heaven come down and burn it up....a WHOLE burnt offering. So that we become vessels without mixture. Impossible for us alone, but I gather that it is like another born again experience....we dont' do it alone but with God's help, by His Spirit. The ark of God in the middle of the Jordan, holding it back and making the way so that we can cross over. Not by might, not by power but by His Spirit says the Lord. He is both the Author and Finisher of our faith...... He is both the cornerstone of the foundation as well as the capstone.

God is imputing it all to us by grace in the meantime because we need Him to..........until we don't need it to only be imputed to us anymore once we apprehend (get hold of) what has been laid up for us in heaven, and it becomes our reality.

That's a relief to hear, I have to say.......with man this is impossible but with God all things are possible. It's not something He expects us to do on our own.

Any grace that makes void the fact one must beleive on JESUS is NOT the grace of GOD
nor do it come from the Spirit of truth .

needs to take his own advice and HUMBLE himself , and get some eyesalve .
Cause it AINT the GREAT ME ME ME that i claim can put the horse in the cart and do it my self .

But maturing has a purpose and a goal....it involves crossing over the Jordan....going to the wedding feast as a bride....there is a culmination of this stage to enter the next stage. We;ve been wrongly taught or assumed ourselves that all these things are for after we die, and not for this life. But we don't have to wait til we die....we are pressing on to the upward call, apprehending that for which Christ apprehended us. And even after crossing the Jordan.......we notice that they had more battles to fight, more ground to take, victories to bring about, some mistakes made, still learning and growing....all on a higher level of effectiveness in the kingdom as I'm thinking of it. We can see that they didn't rest on their new laurels after entering the Promised Land any more than they rested on their laurels after the Red Sea crossing.

God's wrath is on those who hold the truth in unrighteousness.

That verse is speaking of fallen man, not believers who are following Christ. God gave them over to their lusts and idolatries. Where it says elsewhere that God's wrath abides on those who do not believe in Him.
