In this part 2 of a series on the importance of doctrine and discerning (or rightly dividing the word of truth) what we read in the bible; whether we are correctly understanding the narrative or else accepting a deviation from the truth that appeals to our own sense of right and wrong. Is our interpretation inspired by God or is it by inspiration of men?

The church is meant to be the pillar and support of the truth. If we can't embody the truth ourselves, we can support the truth wherever we see God working. All can at least minister to the saints...even if we are not walking at that level. That takes some understanding and wisdom. And discernment. In that way we share in the same blessings as those who are slaves of Christ. As it is written...receive a prophet in the name of a prophet and get a prophet's reward. Receive a righteous man in the name of a righteous man (humbly) and get a righteous man's reward.

God goes easy on the meek...but hard on the pretenders, who take away from truth and reality and turn what is meant to be life-giving into a dead religion.

if the wages of sin is death and all man are born in sin.
Why do we handover over our descendants to sin?

The righteous yield not their children to sin and death, but triumph over them.
The wicked, though they know the sting of both, yet deliver their seed into the darkness.
But even for the wicked there is hope, for a descendant shall rise to choose the light.
