Our dog, 160 pounds of kindness, loyalty and love.
A couple of years ago my wife was doing her daily maintenance job, comb, brush his hair, when he by accident with one of his mighty paws scratched the big toe of my wife and caused a big wound. To the doctor, but long story short, the wound did not heal, in fact the wound became bigger and bigger and looked more ugly by the day.
The doctor gave up and send us to the hospital, they also tried the heal the wound, to no avail. And they said, this is strange, let's do a biopsy. And the biopsy gave an astonishing result, a melanoma (skin cancer), a melanoma in a toe, that was news to them. Long story short again, the toe was in such a bad shape, they had to cut it off, my wife was diagnosed further, immunotherapy was advised and so that treatment started and my wife responded positively and is now declared cancer free, but remains under control.
So our dog seriously hurt my wife, but it exposed cancer in an early stage. Basically our dog likely saved her life.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
