This question hit me the other day out of nowhere.....How is it that Satan, or anyone, could turn from such an absolute truth?He knew he wouldn't gain from anything else- so why would he even think of turning his back on everything that is pure and true?

Satan is the leader of the rebellion. He wants to be God. (II Thessalonians 2:4, Isaiah 14:13-14, Ezekiel 28:6) Let no man deceive you (II Thessalonians 2:3) Satan will never come back to the Father. (II Thessalonians 2:3, John 17:12)JagLovest thou in Christ Yahshua, Lord and Saviour of the world.

Question??????If God could change Saul to Paul with His fire why didnt He do it to Satan???
Paul was only in his unfortuante position in the first place because of Satan and Adam. Paul did not deny the true God he was just blind to the truth of scripture. His heart was such that he believed he was doing Gods will in scourging the place of Christians. In order to see Paul first had to become blind and unable to to see physically to learn to see Spiritually.In Genesis 3:22.And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Satan knew like all the company of heaven the difference between right and wrong and made the choice from what his heart was full of. He has never been on the side of truth but is the Father of all lies. He being the first to lie.Adam did not fall knowingly he was blind and unlearned in right and wrong.Paul inherited the death of Adam but in his zeal as a pharisee to uphold all the laws would have condemned and tried to wipe out anything that set itself up in opposition to the understanding of Gods teachings he had.Satan was doomed because he willingly knowing the cost chose to lie about God. And he has set himself up in opposition thinking he can take the place of God. Satan did not want to obey God, but Paul did. So their hearts are totally different and Satan has no way back because Jesus died for men not for the angels. Satan rejected the fire but Paul embraced it.Faithful.

Maybe I didnt word this question how I am thinking it....I'm saying- Satan was in the presence of God Almighty- he knows there can be none even close to this. If you were in the presence of absolute truth, why would anyone even think twice about your part in all this?Where/How did the power-hungry idea even begin?

You have to understand Lucifer was created the most beatiful and knowlagable Angel ever created but like us he had free will he became full of Pride and thought he should be God then went about convincing other Angels to follow him in this rebellion against God. then they brought their rebellion to earth So God in his great Love decided rather than kill all those involved he would give them all a chance to choose who they will followThis act by Satan seemed to grieve our Father also he asks the question:Isa 14:12 ¶ How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. Isa 14:16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, [and] consider thee, [saying, Is] this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
