Scripture challenge!

Show me from or in “the Bible alone”?

1) a list (not contents) of the Ten Commandments.

2) what things is Lk 1:49 referring to.

3) what Christ commanded his apostles in Matt 28:20

Why do you ask your questions? Do you suppose that right answers will save a person or wrong answers will cost him his soul?

"And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity [love], I am nothing." I Cor 13:2

The 10 can be found in Exodus 20 sir

Life is the primary thing of #2

There is much involved with question 3. It cannot be answered easily. It is simple to understand however, we are to teach others all the things that Jesus commanded, as well as the teachings that were inspired until the end of the writing of the Bible

no they are not in ex 20
The content of the ten are there but where is the list?

which one is which?
It don’t say!
You Must have the apostolic tradition to know the listing

lk 1:49 refers to life? How?

question 3
Only the apostles have authority to teach Matt 16:18 & 18:18 Jn 20:21-23
How can we obey these commandments without knowing what they are?
The Bible is not sufficient
Acts 8 the eunuch had scripture God sent an apostle to teach him and he was baptized into christ

We are not actually under Law Faith, however 9 of those commandments are still law for Christians. As I said all are found in Exodus 20. The 10 Commandments are: “I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.  You must not have any other gods besides me. V2,3
  • You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. V7
  • Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day. V8
  • Honor your father and your mother. V12
  • You shall not murder. V13
  • You shall not commit adultery. V14
  • You shall not steal. V15
  • You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. V16
  • You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. V17
  • You shall not covet your neighbors goods Also V17
We as Christians are still under obligation to obey all of those with the exception of the Sabbath Col 2:16,17

2. God gave Jesus life Col 1:15

3. Rom 10:14,15 Apostles died off in the first century sir, disciples were made and they continued to make disciples and so on until we preach the good news to the ends of the earth Acts 1:8

The apostles must remain till Christ returns
The church must remain as Christ founded it until he returns
The foundation of the church is the apostles eph 2:20
Founded on Peter as prince of the apostles Matt 16:18-19
Matt 28:19:20 I am with you (the apostles) to the end of the world
So the apostles remain till then

I think I am not understanding what you are meaning Faith. Clearly you realize that you are not to kill, we use murder in our version as there is a bit of a distinction in that. I think you might be asking how do we know that one is not the 7th instead of the 5th? If that is what you are actually asking the answer is obviously we don't. The 10 commandments penned not by humans was placed in the Ark of the Covenant, where they reside today, if it still exists, and if anyone knows it's location, they are keeping it secret. So without actually looking at the stones we simply have to take the order of the way they are found in the Bible. The commandments are also found in Deut chap 5 beginning in verse 6 and they are penned in the same order, if that helps sir.

Yes finally
So the doctrine of “the Bible alone” is a failure!

The Bible is the only God inspired book, the only book that has absolute truth, although it no longer exists and all versions have some mistakes, but truth can be found in most. Jesus did assign a faithful slave over his sheep to feed us, not with new words, but understanding of the written word. Dan 12:4; Pro 4:18
