A time comes in every believers life where they must move on from just reading bible stories to see how their bible describes how they are to live life in this world. Believers have the best life, described by what we call the book of life. Everything in your bible points to the best life we know in Christianity, which will be the life in you. Life in the scriptures is described as a person or the person of Christ in you as life. Christain's have no other life, the only life they have is Christ's life. That life is lived exactly the way you were created. So the Christ in you term is at it's core "the two made one by a birth."
The term Christ in you is the greatest of all bible truths, everything you are is in that term, everything Christ is in you is in that term "Christ in you." There is a principle in God that " life comes out of death," a corn of wheat abideth alone until it falls in the ground. As long as you hold a seed it abides alone but when it is planted in the ground it brings forth fruit. Life only comes from a seed when it is planted and the germination brings forth fruit as well as other seeds. A seed is no good in your hand but once it falls in the ground it beings life. That is the Christian Life, Christ the seed has been planted in you and your fruit will come from that life. Everything is in the seed.
Keep in mind we are branches as believers, Christ is the life in the tree, and the father is the husbandman which means he is the care taker, the pruner of the tree. This is a place of understanding that must be rightly divided, many don't feel like they have life, they have a life but it isn't showing through like the scriptures describe Life. What is divided is soul and spirit, you have to see your completion in spirit to really move on in soulish (mind renewal) understanding. The mind has to recognize that Christ in them completed them in spirit. The soul-mind will have to catch up with- the knowledge of understanding- a birth. What did the Apostle Paul say? Reckon yourself dead! why is that? Because your life (which is Christ) is given to you by a death, and by that life you live. You may need to study and look at scripture life, what does scripture say about life.
We always want to mix the two but you can't do that when understanding the birthing, you have to see what happened in spirit by the cross the moment you believed. Forget mind for a moment and transfix on spirit only, because it is all in that seed birthed in you the moment you believed. You will find out all of creation is there to bring forth this life we have known as the person of Christ in you the hope of glory. Hallelujah to God!

That life has nothing to do with soul, it is a completed in spirit statement that pin points where your life comes from. Life does not come from your mind, life comes in spirit and mind simply learns about what happened in spirit. So your short coming or whatever has nothing to do with who you are.
