A selfish believer keeps certain areas of their mind for themselves. A believer that has not been given to understanding Christ in you will always have a flair for the pious religious nod of an outer work more than an inner work. Most everything else becomes priority over an inner understanding. Certain things they do, certain things they say, certain ways they look at life. More importantly is they reject Christ as life. They have accepted Christ as their savior and now their life really begins. Granted that life may consist of a steady diet of up and down through the valley and around and around mountain but regardless it is their life. In our day they have pills people can take for life's situations and upheavals. It doesn't really seem to help most but they have a pill to take. There are people that need help at times but that is not what I'm talking about.
What is my point; when a believer hears and knows truth and does not act on it it will bring trouble. The only thing your father holds you responsible for is living the knowledge you have (you cannot live anything else) or rejecting truth. When a believer hears truth (present truth) and says; well I don't know that's not what I really believe. That is rejection, when we do know truth. The Holyspirit is there is reveal truth to you the moment you hear it. The Holyspirit absultely reacts to truth. When I reject truth time and again that is when our father's schoolhouse kicks in if you will.
He will use the world to show me I am absultely not a worldly or earth person. The teaching begins for us all, we will all go through the Schoolhouse for knowledge. It may be a new knowledge but you will learn or you stay in training to be a son until you do. Saved people walking around with Christ in them is wonderful don't get me wrong but if all you do is live a life you think you have then you have not come to the ultimate of your father to have mature trained son's with knowledge (Christ life) in this earth as well as in his house.
I'll use the number 20; for the last 20 years or so what has happened in this earth with the world system? Our father has shown us that even a Christian can be something other than who they are. We have picketing and protesting and people (some Christian's) running through the streets demanding something to make their earth life better. I bring that up because our father who is great in mercy winks at alot of things in this earth but his ultimate plan to have mature son's in this earth never changes. So his ignorant son's that have determined to be something other than who they are will stay in the schoolhouse for more training. It comes to a point that training can get very severe and you don't want it to come to that if possible.
When I was involved in prison ministry many of the inmates told me they were believers when they did what it was they did, and it ended them up in severe training. You do not have to go to prison to go through the severe training that can happen to believers anywhere. So we reject the Spirit and then beg for relief in the schoolhouse it can be a vicious cycle believers fall into.
