I engage Christians on numerous platforms and share scriptures with them regarding various topics and EVERY time they REJECT God's words in favor of their own personal opinion. It's pointless.
The problem is going online for looking for people that agree with your doctrine. People that go online are usually in the area of bizarre doctrine. That is what I found. There are few that attend a church and have sound ideas from established religion.

Do you attend a church and fellowship. If not than you should be doing that.

What would you say to him if he wasn't ignoring you?

(I don't think anything you posted here, so far, would be well received ... but I really liked the Butterflies.) ;)

Actually he will see my posts that are quoted by others.

So thanks!

Good point.
Many these days are watching internet videos, lots of weirdos out there preaching prophesies and all kinds of junk, not based on the Word of God. I just did some research and it's hair raising what's out there.
Yes I noticed too. There are so many false doctrine internet videos out there now days. It surprises me that people actually follow that stuff.

Humility to listen helps us to sharpen our understanding , many times someone who has a different interpretation
This is true on all subjects, not just religion.

Many times I notice in a conversation, someone does not have all their facts. This could be me. The important thing is the big picture, which includes the relationship.

There is no benefit to quibble over trivial matters. Is the verse in 1 Samual or 2 Kings? One translation puts it this way, another puts it that way. What matters is that we spread the kingdom of God. For instance, in a rare demonstration of humility, my stepdaughter asked her mom (my wife) for help. Naturally, she did not word it that way. In fact, she worded it in such as way that implies my wife is to blame for the help she needs.

In a beautiful display of humility & Grace, which I believe Jesus would approve, my wife interpretted what was said as her daughter is in desperate need for help. Of course, my wife will help her daughter. My wife will take the flaming arrows of insults as secondary to the love and forgiveness her daughter needs.

False teachers and teachings say what they need to hear. That which gives them control in their own salvation appeals to the ego that in the world seeks to exert control over their physical life. Letting that go for the spiritual isn't in them.

Let go, isn't something the natural mind can easily embrace.
It's why the prosperity doctrine is so popular among many.
Believe! And obtain material reward. God pays us to live him.

Most Christians are brainwashed and cannot and will not accept that they may have misunderstood some. They believe that their understanding of God and of existence is infallible and reject what God says.

Most have sacred cows. There are some things so ingrained that they cannot allow themselves a moment to pause and consider, lest entertaining the thought invite doubt. It's fear-based faith. They are afraid to even contemplate a new idea and wholly unwilling to set anything down that they've already picked up and put in their pockets.

These are the same folks who cuss at censorship when it comes to ideas like global warming, or COVID vaccines, but when it comes to their closely held beliefs, they are suddenly every bit as totalitarian concerning dissenters.

Few actually Read Scripture.
Many use one quote against an others position, more so than to support their own position, favoring instead a list of scholars, clerics, and outside of scripture philosophies.

1)The key to the Knowledge is Big Picture:
Who, What, When, Where, Why. Ie Context!

2) The key to understanding the Knowledge …is complete step (1) Then ask God for His Understanding!

Works for me. :)

I am not bothered by who disagrees with me.
I am content being in agreement with the Lord God.

Glory to God,

Amen! Really is that simple. Men throw all kinds of confusion in the mix. So grateful for my sisters and other brother as, we have no problems or disagreements that would affect the salvation issue.
Our differences are secondary, and we respect one another's beliefs.

There are genuine Christians and there are "nominal/pseudo" Christians. There are genuine believers and there are make believers (wheat and tares) mixed together on numerous Christian forum platforms.

“Studying” anything, is taught in a Funky way. Meaning BELIEVE “this” what the instructors “SAYS”, then read “this”, and it will “PROVE” what the instructor “SAYS” is “true”. Agree with the “instructor”, and you get a “REWARD”...a high grade, a certificate, a recommendation, a job offer.

It completely focuses on “instructor SAYS this, READ this ...
And skips, read “that”, for “verification”.

Scripture is full of “this”......and “that”.... for the individual to CHOOSE, rather than be TOLD his only option is “this”.

* And the Problem?
Corrupt “instructors”, that which Scripture calls False teachers.
* And the exponential Problem today? No need to verify, No need to study,
Simply agree with the “instructor”, and “the rewards are yours”.

That happens in “schools”, in “churches”, in the “political arena”.
It’s a “climate change” alright, having nothing to do with the weather.
Truth on the back-burner. Simply creating a climate of men against men.

Very early on; God Created DIVISIONS.
(Day/Night, Up/Down, Men with Him/Men without Him.)
When Jesus arrived in this world, He made it CLEAR His intent was to;
(Hustle up, make the Divisions between and among men, openly obvious.)

Luke 12:
[51] Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

John 7:
[43] So there was a division among the people because of him.

In a nutshell...there IS....this and that...us and them...with and without.
* This Worlds “kingdoms” advocates...with tangible, visible material things....without tangible, visible material things. Material rewards, that fade away.
* That Heavenly “kingdom” advocates...with invisible spiritual things...without visible spiritual things. Eternal rewards, that last forever.

Not once did the Lord God teach, Being WITH Him, revolves around...
Earthly men Believing IN Earthly men. Earthly men Trusting IN Earthly men.

That Heavenly Kingdom....Yes.....This world of kingdoms....No
Us...Yes....Them...No
With...Yes....Without...No.

Freewill....Choose...Be informed of the Yes / No consequences. :-)
Be content with your Choice, regardless of an others Choice. :)
Expect...FEW....to Choose, as you do.
Expect...MANY...to Be Against you.

Glory to God,
Taken

It’s a really nice sentiment.

And it’s exactly the problem. Everybody ‘thinks’ that what they believe, what they have been taught or have come to accept is the truth and “in agreement with God.”

Of course it just isn’t true. The religious leaders thought the same, in fact they felt so strongly about their opinions of themselves and their beliefs that they crucified the one who tried to tell them something different.

WHICH “PATH”, is paramount. “With or With-OUT” the Lord God Almighty.
The “Path” that the Lord promotes, is WITH Him.
Men “OF” this World, promote, WITH “Them”.

And the “KEY” is not ONLY one “choosing” their “PATH”...
But also...Continue Traveling the Path....FOR your own Personal BENEFIT.
Liberty “WITH” the Lord.
Slaves “OF” men “OF” this world.

What is an Expectation, is to KNOW the obvious.
Not ALL men “IN” this world, ”ARE” at the “SAME Distance” of their chosen Path.

Thus the dilemma...the conundrum;
Two paths...and millions of people at varying distances.

Personally I elected my Path...WITH the Lord.
Personally I TRUST as He said...

John 14:
[26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Personally I Trust and Depend on what Jesus said.
Yes, I pray to God...Bless Him and Thank Him for His Blessings.
Yes, Personally...I Thirst, “for understanding of His Word”...”According to His understanding”.
Yes, I pray to God...relentlessly...saying I read, re-read, this and that...Asking Him, what does this and that MEAN “according to Him”.

Matt 21:
[22] And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

LOL, try that with a “politician”....and see if the response is...”oops times up, grin, grin, gotta go”.

Are YOU a part of that "EVERYBODY"? How do YOU even know what everyone "thinks". You are correct and "everybody" else is wrong? He looks at the heart, motive.
BTW-you quoted @Taken, not me. I replied to Taken and put "quotation" marks to show it was not ME writing that, and BTW-I agree with Taken :)
