The first time Jesus talks about His Body and His Blood was in the Upper Room, last Supper.
That was just before He was arrested, Tried, scourged, and Crucified.

So, the Gospel, was not being given before this...

When did it show up?

It showed up with Paul... as "The Gospel of the Grace of God,".. that is The Preaching of the Cross is the power of God unto Salvation, unto everyone who BELIEVES".......is Paul's Gospel, that Jesus Gave to Paul, after Jesus was back in Heaven.

So, the "Preaching of the Cross".......that Jesus died on the Cross for your sin and rose from the Dead.........is the "Gospel".

This was not being Preached by Jesus, to Jews, or to Apostles or to anyone, when Jesus was on earth, @Biblepaige .... as He can't preach that Gospel, until He dies on The Cross.

See it?
Thanks.

Oh, why did the Disciples who were with Jesus as he brought his ministry baptize people if the good news of Christ wasn't being brought yet?
John 3:
After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized.

John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

The Baptism of John is what the Disciples were doing.

"repent and be baptized".

So....Is that : "Jesus has died on the Cross for your sin, and if you believe with all your heart,..and you shall be saved"

A.) It is not..

John 3:
After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized.

Again, no one is A Christian, no one is anything but a disciple or an Apostle.

Look at this verse.

"He that hath not the Spirit of God, is NONE of GOD'S"..

So, all of your verses, are related to people who do not have the Spirt of God in them Yet.

1.) He was first Given to the Apostles, minus Judas, in John 20:22

And He was first given to the World, in Acts 2.

John 3:36

Yes, that is the NT, written by an Apostle, after Jesus is back in Heaven.

So, by then, you have The Cross, you have Paul's Gospel, and you have Christianity.

You didnt have this Yet, in John 17.

The book of John is attributed to John the Baptist?
Who were those the Baptist was baptizing
at Aenon, near Salim?

Do you think it is?

The Book of John, is "attributed" to The Apostle.

However, to teach that "baptism by water" is the Gospel.......is to teach "John the Baptists" OLD TESTAMENT.... situation.

Who were those the Baptist was baptizing

Old Testament Jews.

Are you one?

Then Trust in CHRIST, instead, for your Salvation, as that is based on THE CROSS, and not on water or works.

John 3:36 was taught before the crucifixion.

Never.

John 3:36, is regarding Trusting in Christ, based on The Cross of Christ.

See, God's wrath that is John 3:36, rests on UNBELIEVERS, and that is regarding "Christ Rejectors", after Jesus has died on The Cross.

Thats what Hebrews refers to as "if we sin WILLFULLY".. ..so then that person has committed the unpardonable sin of "CHRIST Rejection"... never born again.

So, until Christ was Crucified and Resurrected, there was no GOSPEL that is The Cross as your Blood Atonement... so, its AFTER the Cross is Raised, that believers become Christians, OR.. they refuse it, and "God's wrath rests on these unbelievers".

Thats the Context of Jn 3:36

And that is actually the "unpardonable sin"., and you could not commit that until Jesus had been sacrificed and rose from the Dead.
John 3:36, is THAT issue.

"Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father; to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen. I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and turning to a different gospel— not that there is another gospel, but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ." (Gal 1:3-7)

There is no "IF" in that passage. In the traditional translation, "Who gave himself for our sins, that he might[or might not, depending on us] deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:" (Gal 1:4)

The perverted gospel makes Christ's atonement universal to each and every person, but it saves no one until a person adds his faith, making faith the merit or "work" John 6:29, for in that heresy Christ died for everyone without exception but saved no one.

"John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and freed us from our sins by his blood, and made us to be a kingdom, priests serving his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." (Rev 1:4-6)

"and they sing a new song, saying, 'Worthy art thou to take the scroll, and to open the seals of it, because thou wast slain, and didst redeem us to God in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation," (Rev 5:9) This is what "world" means in John 3:16 and 1 John 2:2.

Oh, the heretics say, this is only true if man adds his faith to Jesus' work. That is a false gospel, faith is God's gift to His people. Only the elect are given saving faith.

"For it has been given to you, not only to believe in Christ, but also to suffer for his sake." (Phil 1:29)

"Because he wished to cross to Greece, the brothers wrote and urged the disciples there to welcome him. On his arrival he rendered great service to those who through God's favor had believed," (Acts 18:27)

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God—" (Eph 2:8) If Jesus died for each and every person, then the saved are so by their own doing!

"and that we may be rescued from wicked and evil people; for not all have faith." (2Thess 3:2)

The definition of "the world" to mean every person who has or ever will live I find in no Greek-English lexicon. The 1987 Random House Unabridged Dictionary has 24 meanings listed for "world" but not the meaning of every person in the world. The scriptures let us know what it mean in John 3:16 and 1 John 2:2 as in the following:

"For it is the Gentiles who strive for all these things; and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things." (Matt 6:32)
For it is the nations of the world that strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them. (Luke 12:30) Here the Gentiles are the nations of "the world" in contrast to "you" the Jews.

"So I ask, have they stumbled so as to fall? By no means! But through their stumbling salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous. Now if their stumbling means riches for "the world", and if their defeat means riches for Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean! ...For if their rejection is the reconciliation of "the world", what will their acceptance be but life from the dead!" (Rom 11:11-12, 15)

In John 3 Nicodemus is labeled a v1, "Pharisee", "a ruler of the Jews" and v10, "a master of Israel" so he would think the Messiah came only for the Jews, their Messiah. Jesus shows that God loved all nations, not just Israel.

In 1 John 2:2 we have the same situation. 1 John starts with John writing that "we" which are the Jews, the apostles; and than after 2:2, John describes who he is writing to: "Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. (1John 2:7) Again John is showing Jews that Christ came to save the elect non-Jews as well as the elect Jews.
THANK YOU for a most comprehensive list of scripture on one short page that SPEAKS VOLUMES of HIS GRACE towards us who are His.

This was VERY Encouraging for me TODAY = Thank You

There is no reference to redemption, sin, repentance.
Let Jesus handle the sins of those "other people". "He Gets Us" also invites you and me and all of Jesus's people to reconnect with Jesus's life. Especially as to how He related to the poor, the lepers, the outcasts, the marginalized, the sinners - and the super-religious. And that may be somewhat uncomfortable, because it can force us to reexamine our own sins and need for repentance.

YHWH'S ETERNAL REDEMPTIVE PLAN

I must admit to you the reader that I am biased at this point. My systematic theology is not Calvinism or Dispensationalism, but it is Great Commission evangelicalism (cf. Matt. 28:18-20; Luke 24:46-47; Acts 1:8). I believe God had an eternal plan for the redemption of all mankind (e.g., Gen. 3:15; 12:3; Exod 19:5-6; John 1:29; 3:16; 4:42; 12:47; Rom. 5:18; 1 Tim. 2:4; 4:10; Titus 2:11; 3:4; Heb. 2:9; 2 Pet. 3:9; 1 John 2:2; 4:14), all those created in His image and likeness (cf. Gen. 1:26-27). The two covenants are united in Christ (cf. Gal. 3:28-29; Col. 3:11). Jesus is the mystery of God, hidden but now revealed (cf. Eph. 2:11-3:13)! The NT gospel, not Israel, is the key to Scripture (see SPECIAL TOPIC: THE SUPERIORITY OF THE NEW COVENANT OVER THE MOSAIC COVENANT).

This pre-understanding colors all my interpretations of Scripture. I read all texts through it! It is surely a bias (all interpreters have them!), but it is my scripturally-informed presupposition.

The focus of Genesis 1-2 is YHWH creating a place where He and His highest creation, mankind, can fellowship (cf. Gen. 1:26,27; 3:8). Physical creation is a stage for this interpersonal divine agenda.

St. Augustine characterized it as a divine-shaped hole in every person that can be filled only by God Himself.
C. S. Lewis called this planet "the touched planet," (i.e., prepared by God for humans).
The OT has many hints of this divine agenda.

Genesis 3:15 is the first promise that YHWH will not leave mankind in the terrible mess of sin and rebellion. It does not refer to Israel because there is no Israel, or covenant people, until the call of Abraham in Genesis 12.
Genesis 12:1-3 is YHWH's initial call and revelation to Abraham which will become the covenant people, Israel. But even in this initial call, God had an eye to the whole world. Notice Gen. 12:3!
In Exodus 20 (Deuteronomy 5) YHWH gave His law to Moses to guide His special people. Notice that in Exod. 19:5-6, YHWH reveals to Moses the unique relationship Israel will have. But also notice that they were chosen, like Abraham, to bless the world (cf. Exod. 19:5, "for all the earth is Mine"). Israel was to be a mechanism for the nations to know YHWH and be attracted to Him. Tragically they failed (cf. Ezek. 36:22-36).
In the Psalms ‒ 22:27-28; 66:4; 86:9 (Rev. 15:4)
Through the prophets YHWH continued to reveal His universal redemptive plans.
Isaiah ‒ 2:2-4; 12:4-5; 25:6-9; 42:6,10-12; 45:22; 49:5-6; 51:4-5; 56:6-8; 60:1-3; 66:18,23
Jeremiah ‒ 3:17; 4:2; 16:19
Micah 4:1-3
Malachi 1:11
Jonah may be the most "missionary" book of the OT. God's love for Gentiles is obvious (i.e., the sailors and the Ninevites)!
This universal emphasis is facilitated by the emergence of the "new covenant" (cf. Jer. 31:31-34; described in Ezek. 36:22-36), (see SPECIAL TOPIC: COVENANT) which focuses on the mercy of YHWH (see SPECIAL TOPIC: CHARACTERISTICS OF ISRAEL'S GOD [OT]), not the performance of fallen humans (see SPECIAL TOPIC: THE FALL OF MANKIND). Believing mankind is given is a "new heart," a "new mind," and a "new spirit." Obedience is crucial but it is an internal motivation, not an external code only (cf. Rom. 3:21-31; see SPECIAL TOPIC: KEEP).

The NT clearly reinforces the universal redemptive plan in several ways.

The Great Commission ‒ Matt. 28:18-20; Luke 24:46-47; Acts 1:8
God's has an eternal plan (i.e., predestined) ‒ Luke 22:22; Acts 2:23; 3:18; 4:28; 13:29
God wants all humans to be saved ‒ John 1:29; 3:16; 4:42; 12:47; Acts 10:34-35; 1 Tim. 2:4-6; 4:10; Titus 2:11; 3:4; Heb. 2:9; 2 Pet. 3:9; 1 John 2:2; 4:14
Christ unites the OT and NT ‒ Gal. 3:28-29; Eph. 2:11-3:13; Col. 3:11. All human barriers and distinctions are removed in Christ. Jesus is the "mystery of God," once hidden but now clearly revealed (Eph. 2:11-3:13).
The NT focuses on Jesus, not Israel. The gospel, not a nationality or geographical region, is central. Israel was the first revelation (cf. Matt. 5:17-19) but Jesus is the ultimate, final revelation (cf. Matt. 5:21-48; John 1:14-18; 14:8-11; Heb. 1:1-3).

I hope you will take a moment to read the following Special Topics:

I think what would be uncomfortable would be the idea of reconnection with Jesus is possible when the gospel is omitted.

We were warned false doctrines would arrive and mislead even the elect of God. And it has.

I haven't seen the He Gets Us perverted Jesus gospel commercials lately. Thank God. Maybe the networks that carried it got it.

Perverted doctrines preceded those adverts though. Churches that affirm LGBTQ and marry those couples together, is one example.

I'm looking for a plural marriage ceremony in near future. Because polyamorous couples will go to the highest court to prove they have the same constitutional 14th amendment right as monogamist.

A Satanic priest on more than one occasion led legislative chambers in prayer. Not just in the states either.

This world is falling in darkness on ways that should take generations, not a few years.

Get in,hold on,and pray.

I feel for the newborns. What will they grow into?
The HE get us gospel comes from one entity . the devil himself . I noticed you have no desire for its false perverse ways . GOOD .
Real good my friend . real good . lambs care only for what is true and that nasty thing is a perversion big time
that preaches another jesus and that jesus is NOT THE JESUS and thus , IT WONT save a one of them .
Very good i see you actually love the people and have no desire to entertain false marraiges of an abomination
of men with men or women with women . Rather we actually desire these decieved souls to repent
for their own good .
As far as your warnings about the newborns and what they will grow into .
I say rather fear not for them , but for this generation RIGHT NOW . FOR The wrath of GOD is SOON
to come upon this unrepentant world ..
But i do understand what you meant when you said what will they grow into .
My advice to one is the same i give to all , I WOULD not expect to seen another generatoin
who are babies even grow into adults , let alone even teens or pre tweens or kindergarten itself .
What i see is an unrepentant world and WORSE an unrepent majority of christendom .
WHO instead of preaching GOD word , for had they done so peoples within them would have repented ,
promise the wicked life and none does repent of his wickedness . I SEE justification of SIN within a lot of even christendom .
AND i sees me a fake sorry false gospel that seems to even imply that other religoins are fine as is
just love and etc . JESUS IS GETTING TROD RIGHT UNDER FOOT and what i see is many seem to love to have this so
as they clambor under what they think is GOD and IS LOVE and yet , ITS SURELY NOT . satan is slick .

This gospel?

15 Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received,
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

And, to tie it back into the subject of the thread, this gospel would be a lie if Christ did not die for the sins of the person preached to.

BULLSEYE SISTER . yet more and more seem to love to have this IDEA be so . ITS FALSE . but many now love it .
You are spot on right my friend . Many love a lie . But the TRUTH they do hate .
THE YE MUST BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST they hate , the you can believe as you will but just do good THEY LOVE .
THEY LOVE A LIE . A LIE my friend .
and through this lie the PATH TO GOD has grown very broad . ONLY as we know that is NO PATH TO GOD they be on at all .

Two things they do love my friend .
This idea of a jesus who seems to accept sins
and the idea that one does not even have to believe on him , as they now find common ground wtih muslims
and other false religoins , believing we all serve the same GOD . ITS A DELUSON SISTER . A DELUSION they love .
