Submission to God comes before resistance. It is He Who will fight for us, and defend us. If Michael the Archangel would not rebuke Satan Himself, but said instead, 'The Lord rebuke thee' (Jude 1:9), then we should take heed and submit ourselves to God and then we will have the strength to resist.
Yes, indeed. Confess your sin to Jesus; he is your mediator. Yeah, he already knows your story but he wants you to bring it into the light, for your benefit. Confessing will get you grace and mercy: "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." (Heb. 4:16) Doing this will empower you to repent (i.e. to
continuously turn away from your sin and from other temptations that Satan will continue to throw your way!). The reason why the demons won't tap out is because most ppl refuse to keep resisting. Rather, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (Jam. 4:7).
Having then confessed, you obtain mercy and grace to help to be able to resist i.e. to turn from the sin (aka repent). Heb.4:16. One can't repent (e.g. turn from meds/addictions) until they have the strength to do so. Confession brings the power of God to your table so you're then able to repent/resist. IOW,
the strength to repent comes after confession. Initially, because you're weak, it is enough to
will it. Addicts fall into this category; they know they cannot physically/physiologically "resist" the temptations, but they voluntarily make a choice to exercise their free
will 100% in God's direction to "resist;" such is sufficient for ultimate deliverance. Meanwhile, repentance is an action, not a one-off, as you will be tested strongly because the devil hates losing territory he has held previously. You will be flicking off attacks more than usual after any confession.
Again, the reason why most don't get delivered is because they don't continue to resist, and so the demon will never tap out. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

You are confused between confessing and repenting. See above. No one has told her to "keep on repenting." The problem remains: ppl are suffering because they do not know how to appropriate the authority that is their birthright in Jesus Christ.
It starts with confessional prayer.
...but simply be thankful to the God of all grace for having already done so, and released her from the power of the grave, with the promise of life eternal. She is already walking in newness of life before the Father, in Christ Jesus, for God has placed her 'in' Christ (1 Cor. 1:30-31).
"In Christ" or not, she's in misery, and too many are willing to accommodate her situation instead of guiding her to true liberty.
The taking of medication is unfortunately a necessity for some, who would otherwise not be able to function, their condition being incapacitating.
Rather, it has
become a necessity for some because they did not turn to the Lord from the onset but rather turned to worldliness and accommodating opinion.
So please do not say that taking medication is 'a declension', or a falling away. It is not only dangerous, but destroys the peace of those who have no other course of action to take.
This is not about salvation. Rather, in the absence of trusting the Lord 100%, doors open for the enemy. And those who wilfully choose that course can never have genuine "peace." Yes, she's in a tight spot, but mollycoddling her dependence on pharma only worsens her dilemma. It's time to get real and start walking the talk.
