There is one single thing that separates down the line between sons of God and children of the devil: Sinning or doing good.

Two questions arising from it also separates Christianity: Can a sinning child of the devil also be a saved son of God? Can any man sinning also be a born son of God and not a child of the devil?

I say the Bible says God forbid.

Whosoever abiding in him is not sinning: whosoever sinning hath not seen him, neither known him.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that is doing righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

He that is committing sin is of the devil; for the devil is sinning from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Whosoever is born of God is not committing sin; for his seed is remaining in him: and he cannot be sinning, because he is born of God.

Any one that is now sinning with the devil, is a child of the devil by consent and not a born son of God.

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that is doing good is of God: but he that is doing evil hath not seen God.

Only them that are now doing good are born of God and not sinning with the devil.

This is what I see it all comes down: Whether someone is willing to believe they are a born son of God, while sinning with the devil and not doing good.

Those who say yes, have all their own doctrinal stuff about grace and faith, as just so much window dressing around it, to make the dark shine as light.

The problem is in their carnal minds, they think of being born of the Spirit as some sort of temporal 'process', so that being born or not born of the Spirit, can't be in an instant and at the moment of sinning, which is death.

They do not consider that the Spirit is quick and powerful and sharper than swords of man, and can cut in and out in an instant.

Also, there is Bible teaching that says a born son of God by the seed of God, certainly can become instantly not born of God without the faith of word of God in them:

And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

Those saved and justified by faith in God's word, can become instantly taken from them by Satan, when not doing God's word, but committing sin with Satan. He is now their father by consent of the sinner, and he immediately takes away the faith and word of salvation sown in their hearts

Adam was a born son of God, and he ceased to be a son of God the moment he sinned by eating the fruit. Since it happened to Adam, so it happens to any man today born of God, that turns from God to sin with the devil.

And so, any person on earth can believe they are born sons of God while sinning with the devil, whether Christian or New Age divine, but I don't believe it for one second, because I say the Bible says, God forbid!

It's like claiming to be a sinning member of the body of Jesus Christ, in whom is no sinning.

All the doctrinal bluster and posturing aside, that just makes no sense at all.

So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.

Good thread. I agree between the Christian sinner and the Habitual sinners.
Habitual sinning can cause interruption in our spirtual growth and anemia in our prayer life.

Can also diminish our ability to understand and apply Gods word. Those who do drugs or alcohol wont face up to abusing these substances.
Psalm 17:10
119:70
Romans 6:12
Habitual sinners are reprobates. 2 Corinthians 5:17. Christian people are basically new people.
John 14:26 . Those with reprobate minds do not have the holy spirit and are self centered.
