I think the issue is about putting Christ at the center of Christianity. The JW bent is to see Jesus as human. And such is the case. There is much to be learned from a human Jesus. But that is not enough to understand who Jesus is. Jesus is equally God. As such He has the power to transform people into a new creation in Himself. No human can do that. Jesus is a life giving Spirit.

So then to be a Christian necessitates seeing Jesus as BOTH God and man. Denying the humanity of Jesus makes a person a Gnostic. Denying the divinity of Christ makes a person a Jew. (Notice that a JW uses the same consonants as a Jew....just the vowel is missing....which the Jews also do in their writing) ;)

And yes, I do believe Jesus Christ is God.

If I asked you to show 5 verses which speak to Christ's nature all of them would dwell in his humanity. If I asked you to find 1 verse that teaches Hypostasis you couldnt provide it.

Romans 8:1-3 = In Sins Flesh
Hebrews 2:14 = Partook of your nature in every respect
Romans 6:9 = Death no longer has dominion over him
2 Corinthians 5:21 = Made sin (flesh) for us
Hebrews 4:5 = tempted in every way you are

So the bent, as you call it, was the bent of the Apostles - so who is in error?

Some years back the forum was in uproar with debates and loads of nasties going on so, the admin decided this was one way to bring peace to the forum and in a way it has - there is still the odd riposte from time to time, and while you might get the odd warning it's rare they will ban you though I have been a number of times over the years.

The other issue as Iforrest states is the Unitarians had a better understanding of their doctrine and those inexperienced trinitarians couldn’t withstand the exposition and became disheartened.

Let me ask you this? -Ive read some of your past posts. You seem close to a Christadelphian, maybe? If not -I am clueless as to what Christian domination you are a part of? I have never heard of any church that teaches many things that you say. Care to share?

I prefer to focus on the Word of God than push denominational positions. I've been to many churches over the years and found them stodgy and full of wrong teaching.

Paid? I'm interested in your understanding that sits behind the word.
