Nature comes from a father, the life is in the seed, Gal. 3:16
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
This of course describes a birthing, which also means that the source of the birthing is a father, John 3:6
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Another place this can be seen is in Adam's relationship with God.
God was Adams Creator and never his Father.
When Adam was created he had no father, therefore he had no nature.
Being without nature magnified the soul to the point of being able to name all the animals that were being created.
A study of animals and you will find Adam was very intelligent (soul-mind component).
When God breathed into Adam he became a living soul, not to be confused with a living, quickening spirit, Romans 8:11
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
So Adam received a nature when he was beguiled by the serpent, and death by sin entered this world, Romans 5:12
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Have you seen those that make a Ministry out of trying to rid the world of evil, and fighting the devil all the time.
The scripture says by one man all of mankind became corrupt.
Satan didn't have to possess all of creation, but just corrupt one man, and he was able to accomplish what he set out to do.
Separate God's creation from Him.
As we read the scriptures and learn how evil works, you see Satan shoots himself in the foot every time.
From being cast out of heaven, to the fall in the garden, to the cross.
Now for the born again, with their new nature from their new Father, he (satan, old man father-nature) is completely defeated, conquered, and killed out at the cross, Romans 6:6
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
The sin-nature was, is, and shall forever be dead in Christ.
Going back to the beginning where the Father spoke of this day, the greatest victory for a Christian was proclaimed, Genesis 3:15
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
The cross was the bruising of Jesus heal, and the victory was the death sin-nature was crushed, destroyed, and completely killed out.
So the life Adam received was a death-life that came automatically, but the new life in Christ must be revealed, Gal. 1:15-16
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
It is the old mind syndrome we are left with because there was no miracle for the mind at Calvary, miracle was in spirit.
The soul-mind had to control the sin nature and will do the same thing to the new nature which does not need to be controlled.
The believer needs a mind that is compatible with the new Christ in you nature.
The only way the believer can get revelation fixed in them by the Holy Spirit is to open up to the things of God as Paul says through out Romans 6 "yield."
The tendency of most believers is to reject revelation when it first comes because revelation is not controllable, and most believer's would say "I would never do that," when most do that on a daily basis.
This is the main reason religion will never accept revelation, if they cannot do the controlling they reject anything that does.
The easiest way to say it is; what you end up with in Christianity is controll vs compatibility.
Compatibility is the renewed mind that can see Christ as life and new nature.
Compatibility allows the believer to live at peace with the new nature, neither one dominating the other.
You can find Paul's gospel message to the born again in Galatians as well chapter 1 verses 11,12
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Paul taught the believer that his gospel was a revelation, not a revelation of some end time event, or who the Antichrist shall be, but of the indwelling Christ.
Every believer needs a revelation of the Christ that has been in them from the moment they believed.
